Chapter 7: Chillin Like a Villian

Evie's POV 

Jay, Carlos, Ben, and I all rushed down to the limo so that we could get to the Isle. We had to get Mal and Vlad back. 

"Jay. Keys. Remote." Ben called out, tossing Jay the items.

"Wait, somethings wrong." I said as everyone looked at me. I fixed Ben's hat. "There." 

Then I saw Amalia, Alister, and Tosh walking towards us and Amalia spoke. "Hello VK's and King Ben." 

" Who are these guys?" Ben asked.

Before I could answer, Amalia beat me to it. "I am Amalia Coleridge and this is my twin brother Alister Coleridge and this is Tosh. We are friends of Vlad." 

Ben nodded. "Nice to meet you." 

Tosh, who was smoking something that smelled funny, spoke up. "So what are you guys doing out on a perfect night like this?" 

I was about to answer him but Dude spoke which caught everyone off guard. "Mal and Vlad went to the Isle and were going to get them back. Also, Shotgun!" 

We all turned to Dude shock and confused then Carlos shook his head. "No Dude, stay. The Isle is way too dangerous." 

Dude pouted as Jay pointed at him with wide eyes. "Did he just ……?" 

Carlos finished his sentence. "Talk? Yeah, I know. I'll tell you later." 

Tosh sighed. "Okay two things. One, this is some dope weed and two, since when did you guys become the Scooby-Doo gang?" 

We ignored him as Alister grabbed my arm and his voice echoed in my mind. "Evie please bring Vlad back to us, we can't come because we vampires can't cross running water." 

I nodded before turning to Jay. "Once we cross the bridge, park under the pier at the old garage." 

"Got it." Jay replied.

We then got into the limo and drove off to the Isle. Jay parked the limo under the pier and then we all got out.

Carlos and Ben grabbed tarps that were laying around and tossed them to Jay who helped from the other side of the car as they covered it up.

"It's really weird being back here." I admitted. 

 Jay sighed. "Let's get in and get out."

Ben then made his way to a tunnel leading to somewhere. "What's in here?" 

"You don't want to know." Jay replied, pulling him away.

"Keep it chill alright? The last thing we want is our parents finding out we're here." Carlos reminded them.

They all nodded in agreement and went off. As they made their way through an alleyway, I was behind the group and felt someone reach in my pocket. I turned and saw I was being pickpocketed by two little kids. I grabbed them both as I attempted to take back my change purse. "Hey! Stop that!" 

I looked at the children's faces and they were scared. I realized not that long ago I had been like them. "Just take it. Go on." 

The two children ran off then I turned to see that Ben was not with the group and I went to look for him.

No Ones Pov 

As Ben explored the Isle he came across a pirate that was just loitering. Ben tried to get a handshake out of him but the pirate growled at him instead. The Vks pulled Ben away and got the pirate to back off.

 "Ben stop just stop." Evie pleaded. 

"Why?" Ben asked.

"This isn't a parade, it's the Isle." Evie reminded him.

Jay nodded. "Keep your hands in your pockets unless you're stealing." 

"You either slouch or strut." Carlos added.

"And never ever smile." Evie finished. 

 Ben nodded. "Okay, thanks--" 

Evie stopped him. "No! No 'thank you's' and drop the 'please' too. Just chill." 

She then puts her hand on his shoulder and begins to sing.

Ben sing as he hands them Carlos wallet and the keys to the limo

Ben continues to dance and bumps into Gil who had just stolen some eggs. 

"Hey man!" Gil snapped angrily before taking a good look at Ben which caused his demeanor to change. "Hey, I know you." 

The rest of the VKs rushed to Ben as he shook his head. "No, I don't know you either man." 

Gil nodded. "Uh yeah you do come on man really huh? Dude I'll give you a hint. My dad is quick, slick, and his neck is incredibly thick. Come on man I know --"

Gil stopped as he looked at a poster of Ben and Raelynn then looked back at Ben. Everyone just follows Gil's head as he looked back and forth until he realized who Ben was.

"Oh wait, your King Ben!" Gil gasped as everyone moved away from the situation before it could get even worse. But Gil continued to speak. "And your Jay, Carlos, and Evie hey guys!"

Gil thinks to himself for a bit before getting excited. "Uma's gonna love this!" 

Gil giggles to himself and goes running off to tell Uma what he saw.
