Joe leaned in, kissing her cheek briefly before they pushed down on the knife revealing that the baby was a...

"It's a boy!" Taylor and Joe said simultaneously, looking at each other, their grins both reaching their eyes.

Joe leaned down, kissing her on the lips, but regretfully pulling away to not make it awkward for their friends watching them. Taylor smiled at him, her eyes watery.

Joe let a salty tear slip down his face, smiling at her. Everyone around them cheered, some crying themselves. Selena came up from behind Taylor, hugging her. Taylor laughed through her crying, as Matt practically tackled Joe, hugging him.

"So who's ready for cake?" Joe asked, already cutting the rest of it for them. While everyone was talking and eating there cake, Taylor pulled Joe away into the kitchen.

"Need something, love?" Joe wondered, leaning against the counter.

Taylor smiled, leaning against him, "Nope. I'm just happy."

Joe wrapped his arms around her, snaking his hands into the back pocket of her jeans, "I'm happy too. I can't believe we're having a boy."

"Oh my god I'm going to be the only woman in the house," Taylor came to the sudden realization, giggling.

Joe smirked, "For now."

Taylor grinned, closing her eyes and leaning onto his chest. "You know I almost can't fit in these jeans, and the bump is starting to show..."

Joe took a step back to look at her stomach, placing a careful hand on it, "Well, you'll always look beautiful no matter what."

Taylor shrugged, avoiding the subject, "Maybe we should go back out? People will think we left our own party."

"Okay, but just one more..." Joe leaned up to kiss her, biting her lip slightly.

Taylor smiled, before pulling away from his and turning to walk out of the kitchen. She blew him a quick kiss before stepping back out into the swarm of people. Joe smiled to himself, before walking out after her.

That night, after everyone left, Taylor and Joe sat together on the couch. Joe's hand was unconsciously resting on Taylor's stomach, while her head was resting on his shoulder.

"So I was thinking that tomorrow we could go shopping for the nursery? We could go to the mall, but I'd probably want to wear a wig," Taylor thought out loud to Joe.

"Yeah that sounds good, but I agree, we should definitely wear wigs. Speaking of, do you know when you're going to tell everybody?" Joe asked, turning his head to look her in the eye.

Taylor shrugged, "Well I want to do it later in the pregnancy, maybe at 25 weeks or so? That's also what Tree recommended."

Joe nodded, "Okay, are you nervous?"

Taylor was about to deny it before hesitating, "Yeah, I'm nervous."

Joe kissed the top of her head, "It'll be alright. Do you want to go to bed now? You need lots of sleep for the baby."

"Mhm, can you carry me?" Taylor asked, yawning.

Joe smiled, "Sure."

He lifted her up from the couch, she wasn't that much heavier yet, and carried her up the stairs bridal style before laying her on the bed. "I have some work to do, but I'll be in bed before midnight, okay?" Joe asked, brushing her bangs back to kiss her forehead.

Taylor frowned, "Can you stay with me until I fall asleep? I promise it won't take long."

"Of course," Joe slipped into bed next to her, cuddling her from the back so his hands could feel her stomach. "G'night darling."
