Not what you think

After completed his degree, he was posted to Taraba state for his one-year compulsory national service.

Taraba State was created out of the former GONGOLA State by the military government. The state is named after the Taraba River which transverses the southern part of the state.

Gabriel loved the environment particularly their festival, the Mambilla Tourist Center in Gumpti Park, and game reserve in Gashaka; he loved the fact that they invest heavily in agricultural practices and promise to learn Fulfulde since it is the widely spoken language among the people there.

Gabriel was posted into one of the local secondary school where he was to assist in teaching Accounting to the upper-level student of SS2 and SS3.

He noticed that basic teaching aids like computers, rulers, diagrams, chalkboard, current textbooks for the WEAC syllabus, registers, lessons plans, schemes of work and regular supply of lessons notebooks are nowhere to be found in the public schools around the state, he tried to do his best by bringing his laptop to school, create a small ICT resource Center to help the student have access to concrete learning rather than abstract form, at times also he volunteer to help in solving difficult mathematical questions, this made the student liked him a lot including all the school staffs.

He always welcomes the student questions both on duty and after duty. Two months after he continued his service he had finally known the names of his entire student; Balikisu, Biliaminu, Zumayah, Tau, and Aminu were his most favorite.

Since Tau and Zumayah were SS2 students they don’t come to disturb him much often at home after school, Balikisu, Biliaminu, and Aminu were in SS3, Aminu didn’t come to him much often because his father always wants him to take care of his cow after school.

Balikisu and Biliaminu are always free at home once they have assisted their mother until later in the evening when their father comes back home from the farm.

This particular day Balikisu came alone wearing a long hijab with puzzling eyes, she knocked the door and Gabriel opened it, demanding why she came alone and where is Aminu, she explains what kept Aminu away and sat down beside him.

She brought out her Mathematics textbook and financial accounting he gave them, time for the lesson.

Two minutes later the phone rang and he was busy on a video chat with one of his female NYSC colleagues who rented an apartment away from where the school authority gave them.

Balikisu knew Gabriel was busy and the phone has diverted his attention but today since they were both alone he wanted his full attention on her.

She claims the heat is much so she removed her full hijab, she likes him and didn’t know how to tell him, and now that they were both free she was sure Gabriel liked her too.

Gabriel have moved to the other side of the room with his back towards her when she removed her bra and moved closer to him,

“What on earth! Are you doing there?”
Annabella screamed

She has seen the naked Balikisu as his phone front camera was sighting everything from his face to what was at his back.

He turned to look back and was stunned

“What is wrong with you Balikisu?”
he yelled at her then boiled with a wave of anger as he demanded she put on her cloth immediately and he chased her away from his room.

Annabella has already hung up, he called several time to explain that it wasn’t what she was thinking, he texted and got no reply, he went to her place to explain face to face with her and pleaded to her to talk to Balikisu she can confirm the incident wasn’t what she was thinking, which she later did the following day but she still go on to narrate the incident to the remaining female and male colleagues around.

Gabriel has to redeploy to leave the rumors behind.
