Came unto me the darkness of night,
Convincing me to no longer fight.
My soul is slowly turning gray from being white,
I could feel the warm tears blurring my sight.
The fear within is slowly hugging me tight,
With a little hope, I tried to find His light.
And I wasn't down,
As I look up, here is Him I found.
The night may overshadow me by weariness,
But now I'm assured for knowing that in Him I can rest.
The night may seem overwhelmed by darkness,
But He created the moon and stars to proved that light will never lose its greatness.
I thought, God is only with me during daylight.
Like a shadow that goes with me wherever I'd like.
But it'll not be seen when in the dark,
'I am alone again?' I asked which breaks my heart.
A little later I heard someone coo,
"You can't see Me here because now I'm one with you"
I remembered His promise that is proven by thousands generations,
Through the day nor night, He will never desert His beloved nation.
The night will always come in this life of mine,
But by knowing that He is always with me, it'll always be fine.
