ten months before

Ariel Winters was the popular girl in the halls.  Everyone loved her, she was outgoing, funny, and smart.  She wasn't like every girl though.  She didn't earn popularity for being pretty, she didn't become popular because she was dating the jock.  She was popular by money.  She didn't know it, but her father paid for her to be cheerleading captain.  Ariel was a plus sized girl.  She was beautiful, but if she knew the real truth.  If the people she called her "friends" knew the real truth.  She would be called the fat girl.  She had short brown curls and beautiful blue eyes.  Ariel was considered the coolest girl at NorthWood High

She walked the halls, for the beginning of her senior year being the hottest thing out there.  She could be a bitch to the people who were considered nerds.  She never felt sympathy for more plus sized people like her.  She didn't know she was actually plus sized, the popularity and loads of makeup covered up that fact for her.  Although it was noticable to everyone else, no one cared because no one was going to be rude to Ariel Winters.

Her two best friends were the prettiest and skinniest girls in the school.  Amber being one of them.  Her long blonde hair and cheeky smiley.  Amber was adorable.  While Ariana was the most beautiful out of all the girls.  Long brown hair, perfect body and skin.  Everyone wanted a peice of Ariana.

Ariel was okay at school itself, she was more into cheerleading.  Although she actually had no cheerleading skills, the other girls made it look like she could do some stuff.  Ariel went through her classes just listening, with the back of her mind cheerleading.

When she went to cheerleading practice she was excited for audtions, she loved the fact of rejecting girls.  Probably because she wasn't use to rejection for herself, she gotten everything she wanted.

"Next." Ariel smirked as Ariana and Amber had slight chuckles behind her.  Ariel looked around as there were only weak and scared girls.  Until the conor of her eye caught blonde quiff hair, with a camera covering the boy's face.  She became lightly angered by it and got up.

"Keep the audtions going." She said confused as she walked over to where the boy was, sneaking from behind she quickly tapped his back making the boy jump.

The boy turned as her eyes quickly filled with shock by how cute this boy was.

"What are you doing here?" She said snapping back into the reality of it while raising an eyebrow.

The boy quickly bit his lip as he said "I, um" he said shly.  The kid obviously seemed shy to talk, like it was an interview.  "I am here to take pictures for the school year book?" He said biting his lip.

Ariel rolled her eyes as she got a better look, she knew exactly who this kid was.

Luke Hemmings.  He was the 11th grader who pretty much every girl thought of him as adorable.  Ariel thought of him as an asshole.  He was in all her 12th grade classes and was always a smart ass answering the question.  It would be a lie if she didn't think he was cute, dirty blonde hair, vibrant blue eyes, perfect nose and lips.  Ariel always tried to ignore that though.

"Well you can't be taking pictures here." She smirked as she gestured to the exit.

"Actually, I was told to." He said with a light laugh as he showed her the paper from the principal verifying he was allowed to.

She rolled her eyes and ripped the paper.  "Oops." She smirked as again, she gestured him out.

Luke took one last picture, of Ariel while she was ticked off.  Just to make her more ticked off.

She rolled her eyes as she walked back, continuing tryouts.

Ariel came home that night around 8pm, with an email.  Not from Amber or Ariana about celeberity gossip or cute clothe to show her.

She slowly walked up to the computer as she opened the email.  It was the one and only picture that Luke had taken of her acting like a bitch.  She smirked and rolled her eyes as she emailed him back.

"You bitch."

She sent him the email as she sat there, just wanting a response.

She grabbed a snack as she sat there, staring at the blank computer.

She began to fall asleep, it was now 9pm with no response as she began to close her eyes.

"DING" came out out of her laptop as she shot awake, an email back.

Her heart raced, she didn't understand why her heart was racing.  She just met the boy.

She clicked opened the email as she smirked by the reply.

"What are you saying? You should be thanking me.  Now you can see the true you."

She rolled her eyes as she quickly typed.

"I'm not gonna lie, I still look good."

She sent it, again waiting for a response.  This time it came quickly.

"I know, its my wallpaper now." He replied, in a teaseful tone.

She rolled her eyes as she closed the laptop.  Not wanting to say anything to ruin the moment she just had made with this kid.

She laid in bed as she caught her mind stuck thinking about Luke.

'i just met the kid.' she thought to herself as still, she had butterflies growing for Luke.

She woke up in the morning, trying to get the dumb thought of Luke out of her head.  Trying to focus on what she thought was most important: cheerleading.
