Taehyung woke up the next morning to an empty bed, the other side of bed still messy but cold, indicating that the other boy had been up for some time now.
Worried about him, Taehyung slid out of the bed, searching for him through the house but in vain. He tried calling him but it sent him to the boy's voice mail and he was worried beyond words that perhaps the boy had grown tired of him. But that couldn't be true, right?
By the time it was 8, when he was still in bed, overthinking things the way he always does, the bedroom door opened and a tired looking Jeongguk came in stumbling before falling onto the bed and giving him a quick kiss.
"Why are you up so early?", Jeongguk took off his shirt before getting under the covers and snuggling against him now.
"I could ask the same for you,", the lack of warmth in his tone didn't go unnoticed by the younger who simply raised an eyebrow before tangling his fingers into Taehyung's hair, scratching his scalp the way he always loved.
"Are you mad? I'm sorry, just wanted to clear my mind so we could enjoy today.", the younger looked so apologetic, Taehyung shook his head before kissing him. "I could never be, even if I wanted to baby," .
Jeongguk relaxed his arms at this,"I like it when you call me by nicknames Tae".
"Oh I am sure you, now don't you?", he took hold of the younger's fingers, bringing them upto his mouth, placing small kisses o the knuckles and wrist. He noticed that his nails were red, the way his turned when he used knife for not so legal reasons, but decided to ignore it.
Just the way he always tried to ignore every little suspicious thing his boyfriend did, including how his bestfriend was literally Yoongi's boyfriend, how he had instincts too sharp to be normal, how he had extraordinary skills at cutting meat, or how he was rather pretty much okay when they witnessed an ugly accident on the streets the other day.

lemme tell you, the book doesnt end in the next 2 or so chapters, we still getting to the real deal and taegguk are getting to that point too. binge writing a bunch of nonsense chapters rn because my brain cant comply with studying for my computer tests lmao.byeeeeeeeeeeee
