This is the most important. I CANNOT stress this enough.
We're gonna talk about English because that's only the language I read on this app.
1. I totally understand that English is not a first or even second language for some of us. But not being able to follow something is a complete turn-off.
It might come off as harsh, but it needs to be said. If you are can't write English that well, focus more on writing in your home language and improving your Englush. I promise you there are more people interested in reading, let's say, a (good) Spanish story than people who would read one with broken English.
2. Please, please, PLEASE! Check the spelling of words if you're not entirely sure about it. There's nothing that puts me off more than seeing, 'enkradiblee (AN: Sorry about the spelling lol)...'
Like, no babe, there's nothing to "lol" about.
If you knew it was wrong, just check it!
Trust it makes a big difference, a) Your readers will ACTUALLY understand what you're saying/writing and b) It reflects the kind of person you are, one who cares about their work. You wouldn't tell your Language teachers that in a test/essay💁🏿♀️, so don't do it to us.
3. Pleeeaase punctuate your stories CORRECTLY😩! Like, I get sometimes we get a little confuzzled with the semicolons or whatever it may be. BUT! But, a) Don't drone on and on without commas and full stops, etc because it turns your paragraph into one long unreadable sentence. One time I actually deleted a story because the intro was one long sentence. b) Don't just place commas anywhere you think needs that extra "spice"😂, girl boy please! c) Make your stories idk, CRAZYYY, FUN. It wouldn't hurt to add that (!) To show excitement or worry or anger. Don't just write, "...she said angrily"
