1. Do not, I repeat, do not publish a story you have no intentions of finishing. Even if you have one reader, finish it for your number one (and only😂) fan!
And if you later realise you can't complete it and you haven't gotten halfway through it. Delete that half-finished artwork, because an unfinished book is a dealbreaker. Like you see it only has 3 Chapters but you Add it in hopes that the author will carry on with it. Especially if you can tell that it's good.
If you've got an exceptionally good one, you can even give it to someone else you trust with finishing it. Idk if it's allowed/ possible but try selling it, make a few extra $$$😉.
2. Check your plot and flow! Read over it, or ask someone else to do it for you ( because our own opinions can be biased). Check if you've written something you'd actually want to read yourself (Don't be biased😂).
3. I know for "Intros" I said something along the lines of "Don't make it too long but it must be informative..."
But once you're in the story, write those long chapters that have us sleep deprived, but happy nonetheless 😁. It's not really that nice of a "cliffhanger" if you write two sentences and leave an ellipses. Really🧐???
Lastly, engage with your audience. Ask them what they thought of the chapter, or if they had any questions. Ask them what their views and opinions on different characters are. Have QnA's, ask them for their input when you're in need of characters or have writers block. Ask them to comment absolutely ANYTHING! We enjoy being involved. Answer their comments. Laugh, become friends.
But please don't make the mistake of asking readers for ideas, sure you can do that but what I mean is:
I actually saw this one writer who wasn't that good at writing ask their readers for ideas EVERY. SINGLE. CHAPTER. Guys people won't want to read what they wrote, trust me. People don't normally look at their own work unless it's to correct something.
