So my weakness was revealed.  My intentions and reasons now known to Wendy and I would like it to remain that way. Now enough talk of how I am mentally unstable. I have bigger problems. I have to eat unusual amounts of food to make up for my new body parts. I had taken half of the fridge and Usuri's popcorn. After eating all of it, I went back downstairs and outside to practice some more.

"Here we go again."

I extended my still sore wings and took off. Keeping stable was hard enough, but trying to do the maneuvers Isaac showed me was arduous. I just couldn't pull them off. I collapsed on the roof of the house, wings racked with pain. It was the middle of the night and I didn't feel like getting off of the roof, so I folded my wings around me and closed my eyes. The warmth of my wings slowly put me to sleep.

I woke up strapped to a wall this time. Blaise walked slowly towards me, his heels clicking against the floor with every step. His pincers snapped menacingly as his usual grin spread to his cheeks. I struggled against my bonds but I couldn't break free. I began to yell for help when my yell died in my throat as a scorpion tail rose above Blaise's head. With blinding speed, the stinger pierced my chest and injected me with venom. It hurt like a wasp sting, hornet sting, and a spider bite had an ugly baby and it attacked me. The pain spread throughout my body as my throat swelled up.

"Enjoy the afterlife, Gryphon."

My vision grew spotty as I stopped breathing. As I died, my eyes snapped open and reality filled my vision again. As I awoke, I had a slight wing spasm and smacked someone in the face. I turned and saw Isaac covered in feathers.

"Thanks for that, Gryph."

Ignoring him, I turned towards some commotion on the ground. Usuri was attacking Wendy and Wendy was trying to fight back. With a flourish of my wings, I prepared to intervene. Isaac placed an arm infront of me.

"Cool your jets, Gryphon. Focus your hearing and pay attention."

I did as he instructed and honed in on their conversation.

"Come on, Wendy! You won't hit anything with those swings!" She said as she dodged a wild punch thrown by Wendy "You'll be beaten before you can blink." She dodged again and jabbed Wendy's arm.

"Ow! I'm trying! At least give me a chance!"

"I am giving you a chance! I'm going easy on you," Usuri said, tripping Wendy.

She fell hands first, scraping them up on the patio. She glared up at her and swung a leg around, catching Usuri by surprise. She came crashing down and hit her head.

"...You're improving. Good. Now, get up and clean your wounds."

As Usuri got up, I glided down to the ground and helped Wendy up. She looked at her hands which were bleeding. Little pebbles were embedded in her skin.

"Let me see your hands," I said holding out my hand.

She gingerly placed her hands in mine and I looked at her palms.

"This may hurt, but I need you to bear with me."

I used my claws to pry the pebbles out of her palms, She winced each time my claws made contact with the tender skin. After the last one was removed, the bleeding stopped and the skin started to seal.

"There. Good as new."

"Thanks Gryphon."

"Why were you and Usuri fighting? Do I need to hurt someone?" I asked, concerned.

"Oh no. You've got it all wrong. Don't worry, Usuri was just training me to fight. No biggie."

"What? Is Usuri actually becoming a caring person and thinking about other people?" I let out a mock gasp "That's not like the demoness sow I met."
