"Okay, I'm bored of this game," I tell Cam as I drop my hand of cards onto the bed. We have played Speed so many times, it's just getting too repetitive. Now I regret showing Cam this game.

"Oh come on! I was just starting to get good!" Cam argues.

I move from my sitting position to laying flat on the bed. "No, I'm tired of it."

The next thing I know there is a card thrown at my face and the corner pricks my cheek. "Hey!" I yell. "That kind of hurt."

Cam laughs. "Oh did it? I'm sorry." But then she flicks another card and it hits me on the forehead. Who knew you could wound someone with a deck of cards?

"Cambria! Ow! Those corners hurt."

"Hey! You know I hate it when you call me by my full name!" And again, another card comes in contact with my face.

If she's going to play games, then I'm going to play games too. I sit up and then lunge myself at her. I try to pin her down on the bed but she keeps on struggling. She's laughing and I'm laughing, which only makes it harder to actually keep her down. "You're weak!" I tease.

"No! You're-"

Cam is interrupted by the chime of my ringtone. Cam and I both turn to my phone, then to each other. I know she's thinking what I'm thinking. A second later we are both reaching for my phone. I pull on her and she pulls on me. Fortunetly for me, my hand reaches my IPhone first. I stick my tongue out at Cam like a little girl as I look at my phone screen. It's Jean, a.k.a. Jeanine, a.k.a. Ms. I-never-answer-your-calls-but-I-excpect-you-to-answer-mine. I press the green button on my phone and put my phone up my ear. "What do you want? Cam and I were kind of in the middle something on her bed," I joke. I look at Cam and her jaw drops open.

"Oh is this a bad time? Wait, just a little advice, stretch afterwards because you might be a little sore tomorrow." Her tone is so sarcastic, it makes me laugh.

"Gotcha. So what's up?"

"Well I wanted see if you and Cam were free, but if you guys are busy," she doesn't finish her sentence.

I decide to keep the joke going. I look at Cam and pretend to talk to her so Jean can hear. "Hey Cam, looks like we can't do this tonight. Something came up. Sorry." I put the phone back up to my ear and I hear Jean laughing. Then I tell her, "Okay, we're free."

"Good because tonight, we are going to party like there's no tomorrow!"

Typical Jean. She always seems to find something different to do every night. I don't know how she does it. Im thinking she just goes out and talks to random strangers until she gets lucky enough for someone to actually have a conversation with her. "A party? What party?" I ask.

"Well, you know my friend Jc?"

Before I answer, I know Jean is talking to me and Cam so I put her on speaker and Cam scoots closer to me. Then I say, "The one from our chemistry class?"

"Yeah, him. Well, his parents are out of town for the night until morning. So, he decided to have a little get together and he invited me."

I look at Cam and we both give each other "the face." The face that means, "Jean is going at it again."

So then Cam tells Jean, "But isn't Jc that weird kid that makes videos on Youtube? He doesn't seem like the most social person. Why would he be throwing a party?"

"Well," Jean explains, "His friends actually talked him into it. We are just using his place since his parents won't be around. And because I'm inviting you guys, that means you guys are coming. So just get ready and come right over. I'll text you the address. See you guys later." Then she hangs up.
