When I wake up again, the rays of light from the sun shine through the window, lighting up the room. I notice that my head is pressed against Jc's exposed chest. I can feel the steadiness of his breathing as his chest rises and falls. My nose can sniff what's left of his cologne. His arms are locked tight around me.
I tilt my head up so I can look at Jc. As soon as I move, I wake him up. I watch as he slowly becomes alert. As soon as he sees me, his face lights up with a smile. "Morning," he greets in a low deep tone. He has that scratchy morning voice everyone talks about. And yes, it is so attractive.
"Morning," I say back.
"I don't know about you, but I slept really well."
"I did too."
Then, I hear a noise that comes from Jc. It's a rumbling noise, probably coming from his stomach. Well, I hope it's coming from his stomach. We both laugh. "I'm really hungry," he says.
"Yeah, me too," I agree. And now that he mentions it, I feel my own stomach start to growl.
"You know what I could go for?'
Aw man. He better not say it. I can't lie, those waffles are really good, but I can't have them all the time. They will just get old. "Please don't say waffles," I beg.
"But they are so much better when you want them a day old." I don't say anything, but I raise up my eyebrow, waiting to see if he's actually serious. He breaks a smile again. "Okay, I'm just kidding. I do get tired of waffles after a while. Don't worry, I'm the best cook. I can whip up something good for us."
"Okay," I agree.
He keeps looking at me. "Are you going to get up?" he asks me.
"I don't know, are you?'
"I don't want to."
"Neither do I."
"But we have to."
"I know we do."
"Ugh fine." Jc is the first one to cave as he unwraps himself around me. It starts to get cooler around me as I feel his absence.
Jc walks over to a pile of clothes on the floor. He puts on his shirt from last night. Then he walks over to his drawer and takes out a pair of red plaid pajama pants. He slides into them and then turns around to me. "Did you like the show?" he teases.
I giggle. "I'm pretty sure a show would be you taking off your clothes, not putting them on."
"Touché. So, are you feeling okay? No hangover?"
It's weird that he mentions it. I forgot that I got that last time I drank so much. It's surprising that I don't feel it this time. "No actually," I answer. "I guess not."
"It's probably because you slept really well."
I smile at him. "Maybe." I sit up on the bed.
Jc gazes at me. "Are you comfortable in that tight shirt and tights? Do you want to borrow something of mine?"
I know I can't pass up his offer. It's a daring suggestion and I love it. "If that's okay with you."
Then Jc goes back to his drawer. From the top one, he takes out a black shirt and from the one under that he takes out a pair of jogger pants. "I hope these fit," he says as he hands them to me.
I take them as I stand up. Then I looks at him as I raise my eyebrow and cross my arms.
"What?" he questions.
"Well, you know, turn around or something." I know we are more than comfortable with each other now that we slept in the same bed, but there is still a line he can't cross. This is way passed it.
