i read the comments, good and bad. "mya!" i heard my mom call for me. i sigh. i ran down the steps.
"yes mommy?" i answer. "i'm going on a business trip tomorrow." i nodded. i was pretty used to this by now. my mom's a travel physician so she's basically a doctor but on the move. "where?" i asked. "dc." she answered. i nod my head.
i was excited because i get the whole house to myself. although i'm quite used to it, i still like being home alone.
i walk back up the stairs and went to my room. i decided to go to my club gym today since my teammates were down there. i changed into comfortable wear and packed my gym bag."ma i'm going to the gym!" i said telling her while walking down the stairs.
"ok, stay safe" she yelled back. i walk outside and into my car. i was about to play some music but my phone started ringing.

i roll my eyes and answer the phone. "what do you want?" i ask. i look up at the camera and see it was zhuri. "hey babes." i said smiling into the camera. "hi myaaaa!" she said excitedly. "ZHURI GIVE ME MY PHONE!" i heard bronny shout. he grabbed the phone from her and looked at the cameras.
"i was talking to her." i say as i pull off. "i don't car- ooo bronny is that your girl." i heard a male voice say in the background. we gagged at the same time. "please. no." i say scrunching my face up.
"chillll that's my God sister." he said telling them. his phone was snatched by a boy and i saw a lot of heads pop up on the camera. "hey mya boo." i hear zaire said. "hey zaire pooh" i say laughing.
"damn she's fine." i heard a lightskin say.
he had these sunglasses on. then i realize it's amari. i don't really know him like that, i just know he's bronny's teammate. never really talked to him.
"awe thanks babes." i say smiling focusing on the road. but i look back at the camera and saw him turn red. aw, i start laughing. "give me back my phone." bronny said. he grabbed it. "talk to you later mya, love you bye." before i could say anything he hung up. i roll my eyes.
ok so a little back story. my mom and bronny's mom are best friends and have been for years. and they were pregnant around the same time. and they're still best friends. so they decided to live around the same area. i'm older than bronny a couple months, but his birthday is late, so i'm a sophomore and he's a freshman. but he's like a brother to me.
i pull up in the parking lot and came out of my car and walked in. i was greeted by the staff in the front. "hey mya." i heard a unison of voices say. it was coach, star, melanie, and leona. "hey" i said with a smile.
i took off my sweatpants that left me in my spandex shorts and started stretching. we started doing digging and hitting exercises.
"sooooo how's life?" leona asked me. i raise my eyebrows. "if this is some small talk to talk about bronny, stop." i say. "i can't ask how my bestfriends doing?"
i gave her a bitch please look. "i don't understand why you can't just talk to him.. he probably likes you too." i complain. "i can't just go up and talk to him. and i doubt he does".
"i mean you'll never know until you ask him." i say shrugging. "yeah but he probably got a lot of bitches anyways." i shrug knowing it was true.
we went back to peppering.

i was exhausted. i took a shower in the locker room and wore a change of clothes. i throw my gym bag on my shoulder. i walked out of the facility and into my car. i grab my phone and went on instagram. i saw a notification.

i click on his profile and was scrolling down his page for a good minute, until i realized what i was doing. he was fine. never realized his looks before. i most definitely follow him back. i exit out the app and put my phone in the charger.
