Am I Good Enough..?

My name is Kaylee and I'm 17 years old. I have brown hair, hazel eyes, and I love soccer. I'm living with Bailey in an apartment in Brazil because we got offered to be a player for the Northview Knights. Today was the big day and I couldn't stop thinking if I was good enough. Bailey was getting ready in her room. Her outfit consisted of longer soccer shorts, soccer jersey #20, shin guards, long socks, and cleats. She came out with her hair in a ponytail looking reading for the game. I was still in my pajamas. She asked if I was going to get ready. I looked at the clock and we had to leave in 10 minutes!! I ran to my room without saying a word and quickly got ready. I was wearing the same thing as Bailey. I threw my hair up into a ponytail and slipped on a white headband to keep my short hairs out of my face. We got a picture together and posted it on Instagram with the caption "First game playing for the Northview Knights! So nervous!" We grabbed water bottles filled them up and headed out the door. We hopped into the car and drove to the directions we were given.

We arrived at the field 10 minutes later. We walked out of the car and onto the field. There were 4 other girls already there. They all looked like bossy little brats. We met them and they were actually very nice. They said we were playing a fairly easy team today so we should have fun.

~GAME TIME~
It was time to get our game face on. We were all in our positions and both Bailey and I were starters. He must think we are pretty good. The ref blew the whistle and the opposing team kicked off. They failed their first pass and kicked it right to Bailey. She dribbled the ball all the way to their goal and passed it to me and I shot..... And scored!!!!! I got high fives from everyone that was a starter. We subbed everyone out and put fresh players in. The coach pulled Bailey and I aside and said we were doing great and corrected on what we could do better. He was awesome.

The second half started and the score was 18-2 we were totally doing awesome! Bailey has scored 3 goals and I have scored 2. I was very proud of both of us! We started again in the second half and once they kicked off, they started dribbling right to the goal. I dove into the ball and made a pass to this girl on our team named Kylie. She was pretty good I guess. The ball went back and forth for a while but they never scored. We scored 3 more times.
The ref blew the whistle to end the game. The final score was 21-2. We jumped up and down, hugged, and laughed. Our team was my second family. Everyone so so kind and funny. I got along with them very well and you could tell Bailey was having and awesome time.
