BAILEYS POV
We had another soccer game today and Kaylee was back playing. We were playing a really hard team today and they haven't lost for 8 years. I was so nervous. Kaylee and I were at the apartment getting ready and putting our hair in a ponytail. Although I was still nervous, I believed in my team. We could do this. We could put this team down and make them loose their first game in 8 years. We drove to the field and got out of the car and headed over to where coach was standing. He talked to me telling me I needed to play harder than I have ever played before. I knew I could do it I just had to believe. The game started and within 2 seconds, they were scoring. I needed to be better. I dove into the ball and got it away. Thanks goodness. Kaylee sprinted to their goal with the ball, shot, and missed. She went for another attempt. She got an assist from Jenny, another girl on our team. Kaylee revived the ball, shot, and scored!!! The score was 9-1. It was halftime and I have been playing the entire game. I grabbed my water and listened to what coach had to say. If we made one goal, we could make more.
END OF GAME
It was the end of the game and we had lost. The final score was 18-3. Everyone in the opposing team was cheering and laughing. Our team was upset. There coach walked over to me and said "Hey I need to talk to you." Was I in trouble? I didn't hurt any of his players..?
Me: What would you like?
I said in a kind of upset tone.Opposing coach: You were amazing out there. Would you like to try out for our team?
Me: NO WAY!? Are you being serious! I would love to!
Opposing coach: Awesome! Tryouts are on Tuesday at 11:30. Hope to see you there!
Me: I will hopefully be there! Thanks so much.
Opposing coach: Anytime! Could I have your number incase I need to call you?
Me: Yeah. 920-222-3134
He walked back over to his team smiling. I was pretty happy too. But wait... What about Kaylee? And coach? And all the other players on my team? I couldn't do this. I wanna be on a successful team but I can't part with my second family. I never thought about them when I told the other coach I would join his team. I pulled coach aside and told him that I just accepted being on the team over there. His mouth dropped to the floor. Until I told him I couldn't do it. I had to stay with my second family. He patted my back and said "Thatta girl." I knew I would like you. So in the end, I never joined the undefeated team. I made the right choice.
