I get dress in my uniform and listen to Coach Q's pregame speech, follow by Jonathan's speech. We all go line up for opening cermony. I was playing in the home opener game tonight. I stood behind Andrew Shaw. The start to call everyone out starting with Duncan Keith and going in number order. When they call Jonathan's name, the building just erupt with sound.
"Number 65, Andrew Shaw." the announcer said, then Andrew skates on to the ice. "Number 72, Aaron Hijons." I skate on to the ice. I got a cheer which was nice because I didn't think I would get one. Once everyone was on the ice. The national anthem for America was sang and face off happen.
We were winning 2-0 over the Detroit Red Wings. We were changing lines and the puck lands on my stick blade. I rushed up ice for a break away, I fake out the goalie and score. We were winning 3-0.
After the game, the boys celebrate the win. As I sat in my corner, holding my mom's locket. After all the boys left, I change and went to my car. I hear someone yelling stuff about someone name Riley Tyler. I hear a girl voice yelling back at the original voice. Then I see her and Jonathan walking under one of the lamps in the parking lot. I catch a glimpse of her, Jonathan has talked about her in the locker room but I never have see her before.
