Fractured

Testing

-Deku's pov-

I wake up to toga poking me. When she sees I'm awake, she smiles, showing me her fangs.

"Hi deku-kun~, Shigaraki says it's time for you to leave~." She says smiling at me.

"L-leave?" I say back, confused.

" Yeah, silly! For your entrance exams! " she says as she hands me a backpack.

"Oh! Right," I say, remembering the plan, " I-I'll get ready. "

I motion for her to leave, and once I hear the door close, I sigh. I don't want to do it. I don't want to be responsible for All Mights death. If I had just taken a different route, this wouldn't have-

It still would have, they kidnapped you for a reason.

I'm used to the voice by now, so I'm not startled by it. About halfway through the month I decided to ignore it. I don't want to go insane. I don't want people to know. They can't know. What if they all ready know?

I don't realize I'm crying until kurogiri walks in.

"Are you alright? It's time to go," he says, his voice worried.

My head shoots up and I take a step back, startled at the sudden words. I nod my head, not trusting my voice to come out correctly.

I was all ready dressed, because I hadn't changed out of the clothes I wore yesterday, so I was ready to leave.

I wipe my eyes and force myself to smile, trying to reassure kurogiri that I'm okay and ready to go, even though I look like a mess.

He sighs, and motions me to follow him downstairs so Shigaraki can go over the plan again. Even though I know what I need to do. I follow him, and when we get to the bar, I get odd looks because of my red eyes, traces of my crying not yet disappeared.

Shigaraki explains the plan again, and sends me off to the bus station.

I arrive at the testing building, and see a certain explosive boy.

Kacchan.

I put my head down, trying to hide myself from him. I successfully get to my testing room without him seeing me. Thankfully he isn't in my testing room.

I easily take the test, having studied the other day. I give it to the pro hero overseeing my testing room, and leave, going back to the bar.

Throughout the week I go to the testing site, always avoiding kacchan, always hoping I won't see him.

On Friday, I get confirmation that I passed all of the tests, and I can do the physical test. I go to sleep that night, wondering what's in store for me the next day.

I wake up and quickly get ready. I'm all ready dressed when kurogiri walks in to make sure I'm awake.

I quickly walk past him, so I can get to the testing site. I even just brush past Shigaraki, not talking to anyone on my way out.

So daring.

Ignoring the voice has become second nature, so I don't even miss a step when I hear it again.

I arrive at a different testing site, but in my excitement I trip over a small rock I hadn't seen.

I close my eyes, preparing to hit the ground, but I dont. I slowly open my eyes and see the ground a foot away from my face. I'm floating. Who-?

I feel a hand pull me back up, and I see a girl with brown hair.
