The firebender punched the air in front of her shooting a blast of fire at Yan. Yan used airbending to jump over the fire and simultaneously push Omara out of harm's way. Omara stumbled, then brought her fists up to try to help Yan fight the crazy firebender.

Yan looked at her and said, "I got this, you try to put out the fire." Omara nodded and started to bend the heat away from the buildings. It wasn't the most effective thing to put out fires but it worked.

"Wow," said Yan, trying to distract the firebender, "So are you like an anarchist or a terrorist or something? I notice your outfit looks like the white lotus uniform, is that on purpose."

"You will be brought down and this world will be rebuilt in anarchy!" screamed the firebender as she threw more fireblasts at Yan.

"All right," Yan said, "I guess you're not good at conversation." He dodged another blast of fire. "Or firebending, is there anything you are good at?" Yan continued to dodge the firebenders attacks, he got singed slightly but continued to airbend around the fire blasts as best he could while waiting until the perfect time to strike.

The firebender looked annoyed. She lifted her leg upward, readying a kick, and in a split second, Yan saw his opportunity and launched a chunk of the road at the firebender's lifted foot, once it made contact he wrapped it around her foot stoping the kick and knocking her off balance. The firebender fell to the ground, her leg bent at an unnatural angle. Yan wrapped more asphalt around her hands and mouth, to stop her from firebending and shouting, and ran over to help Omara put out fires.

A few minutes later the police and fire department showed up, along with the white lotus.

Master Sho walked over to Yan, followed by a few police officers and Jian. Master Sho looked down at the firebender, who was still trying to move with their leg and arms wrapped in asphalt.

"Good work hitting your opponent when they're off-balance," Sho said noticing the way the firebender's leg was broken, "However I assume from your burns that you were using airbending to dodge instead of shielding yourself with earth. You shouldn't be using airbending until you master firebending and earthbending."

Yan rolled his eyes, and tried to change the subject, "That doesn't matter, I beat the bad guy. Shouldn't we be more focused on that."

Master Sho was visibly angry. "It does in fact matter and as you seem incapable of following tradition and instruction, I will be doubling the amount of training you have." He said.

Jian stepped into the conversation. "Excuse me, Master Sho," He said, attempting to help out Yan, "I think Yan is right, about being more focused on the firebender that is. Did you see her clothing, it looked like a white lotus uniform. Do you think it means anything?"

Master Sho looked back at the firebender, who was now being taken away by police officers. "Hmmm. Yes, I do recognize that uniform. It appears to be the uniform of the Red Lotus, a splinter faction of the white lotus that devolved into anarchic terrorists. I thought avatar Korra had imprisoned the group's leaders but if they somehow reformed it might be an issue." He looked at Yan, "Did this firebender say anything about the red lotus at all?"

"I think she said something about Vaatu, and 'reforging the world in anarchy', whatever that means," Yan said trying to lessen the impact of what the firebender had said, "And she might have also said that it would start with my death."

"This is troubling indeed..." Master Sho shook his head, "If the Red Lotus has retuned then it is imperative that you are to be kept safe at all costs. I will assign a bodyguard to protect you and you will no longer be allowed to leave white lotus island unsupervised."

Yan was about to protest before Jian cut in, "I will volunteer to be the avatar's bodyguard," he said, "I think it would be best that the person protecting the avatar, is someone the avatar trusts."

"Verry well," said Master Sho, "But I expect you to take your duties as his bodyguard seriously, should you fail to enforce the restrictions I am placing upon him, you will be removed from the White Lotus's ranks."

"I understand," Jian said as he bowed to Master Sho.

Master Sho then left to speak with the police force as Jian and Yan walked over to Omara.

"So what was that about," Omara asked, "Sho looked worried"

"He thinks the firebender is a member of some ancient anarchist cult or something," Yan said, "Then he overreacted and said I have to be accompanied by a bodyguard everywhere I go."

"Hey at least the bodyguard is me and not some other White Lotus member," Jian said.

"Yeh," responded Yan, "But it would be better not to have a bodyguard at all."

"Sounds rough," Omara said, "Are you guys still allowed to leave the island?"

"Yeh," Jian said, "I just have to accompany him, and I think there's going to be increased security too."

Before Omara could respond Master Tulok walked up to the group. "Yan, Jian," He said, "Master Sho thinks that it would be best if you two returned to the Island for the night. We don't yet know if this firebender was acting alone or if there are more Red Lotus members out tonight."

Omara sighed, "Well I guess I'll see you guys later," she said.

Yan and Jian returned to Lotus Island, unsure of what would happen next.
