Sunday morning rolled around and Jotaro found himself hating the sunrise. All to soon, he'd have to meet Noriaki and Jabari at the train station and say goodbye. Not that he intended this to be the last time they saw each other, far from it. He just didn't want to go a day without seeing Noriaki again, much less weeks or months. Barely a week ago he'd been wishing just to hear his voice one more time. Not only had he heard Noriaki's voice, but he'd seen him, held him, laughed with him...hell, he'd damn near kissed him.
It wasn't enough. Not after missing him for over 10 years.
He sighed as he pulled on his hat and went to get Joseph so they could leave.
They arrived at the station just before Noriaki and Jabari.
The moment he laid eyes on the redhead, he moved to hold his luggage then to grasp the hand he'd managed to free.
Tenmei blushed at the possessive hold Jotaro had on his hand, "Calm down, Jotaro. I might begin to think you'll miss me."
"I will. I am going to."
"I'll call and message you every day..."
"Promise?"
Before Tenmei could reply, he was pulled into a strong hug by Joseph.
"Don't you dare play stranger, now. I expect to hear from you soon."
Tenmei laughed, "Of course not! I promise to call soon."
Jotaro glared at his grandfather for interrupting his moment but didn't get to upset. Joseph had missed Noriaki as well.
He waited patiently until Joseph finally stepped away to talk more with Jabari, the. He wrapped the artist up in his own tight hug, nearly lifting him from the ground.
"Oh! Jotaro!" Tenmei cried as he laughed and hugged back.
"Promise? Everyday?"
"Yes. I promise. Everyday. I'll miss you to."
Jotaro sighed then breathed deeply, savoring the scent of cherries that always lingered over Noriaki. He didn't let go until the call came for their train.
When Jotaro stepped back, he saw tears In the other mans eyes.
Tenmei sniffed, "I really am going to miss you."
"Hey...don't worry. I'll see you soon. Even if I have to come to Cairo."
Tenmei nodded and took his suitcase, "Well...I guess I'll see you, then?"
"Yeah. Soon. Call me when you land? I don't care what time."
"I will. Umm, goodbye, Jojo."
"Bye..."
*******
Over the next month, Jotaro and Tenmei exchanged calls and texts daily, just as promised.
During this time, Jotaro received notification that a house he'd been interested in had went on the market in Florida. It was acquired by Joestar Reality that same day. Almost four weeks to the day that Noriaki left, Jotaro packed up his last box. His research was complete and it was time to go back. His new beach house was already cleaned and fully furnished, just waiting for him to come home. He planned to ask Noriaki where he was, once they landed in Miami. Jotaro wasn't against another flight if it meant stealing some time with a certain beautiful redhead.
Joseph convinced him to wait a day so they could rest. Jotaro got Joseph settled into his room made made a run for groceries. He needed EVERYTHING.
When he returned home hours later, and had everything put away, he was exhausted. Dead on his feet tired. He checked his phone and found a text from Noriaki talking about how beautiful it was where he was now. Jotaro responded with a wish to be there and see it with him.
