"Du forgot your bracelet in the bathroom...?" Germany said slowly. He wore a, 'Are you fucking serious right now?' expression.
"I...uh...yes- yes I did....I'm sorry... I-I didn't mean to!" Poland stuttered, looking at the German who looked like he was going to hurt him any second. "I...I just forgot-..."
Germany just sighed, his breath visible and he adjusted his glasses, even though they were broken. "Everyone forgets... I too, forget my bracelet, but this timing is awful."
"Y-Yeah.." Poland leaned on a tree, feeling guilty. This is all my fault... if I just haven't forgotten.. "M-Maybe United Nations will figure out we're missing?"
The German shook his head, looking down on the snow, crossing their arms and leaning on the tree. "United Nations doesn't check attendance again until the day of the grand meeting. We'll just have to wait until one of the countries notice we're missing, for God knows how long that would take."
The two tried to think of solutions, only to draw a blank.
"Phones?"
"Lost in the explosion."
"Find the road and walk back to the hotel?"
"That's our only solution but... I don't think we'll find a road anytime soon."
They started to shiver.
"Say Polen, do you have any food on you or water?"
"Let's both check."
Both Poland and Germany checked their pockets, hoping to find something. Germany had found an unopened plastic bag in his coat which could be used for water. He also had three match sticks which was for cigarettes, though he barely smoked.
Poland had found protein bars and two granola bars."Well... that's all I have." Poland said.
"Better than nothing. At least we have somewhere to store the water and we have some food. However it will be hard to start a fire in these conditions."
"Will we even make it alive...?"
"...I don't know."
Poland sighs and sits, leaning on the tree and is halfway curled up in a ball. He puts the food back in his pocket, as they would have to strictly conserve it.
Germany also puts his items back in his coat, sits and leans on the tree. "Vhat were you planning to do here, Polen?"
"I was planning to... admire nature. I heard the New York forests were beautiful so I came here... what about you, Niemcy?"
"I was trying to get my mind off things such as, y'know, work. I usually calm myself down by walking around in nature."
There was a long silence, until Germany broke it.
"We should go and search for any signs of roads before it goes dark." He says, standing up. Poland does the same, feeling a little dizzy. He nods.
"And we should... s-stick together." He says. They had to, no matter their relations. Germany nods and sighs, agreeing to this.
"Well, let's hope for the best of luck and let's go." He says, starting to walk through the snow, hiding his wings so there would be less weight. Same as Poland.
Poland and Germany walked and walked in the snow, bringing their leg up then down, up and down, up and down... They were both very cold, shivering and tried to spot any signs of roads, signs, or anything that would bring them home. Soon, Poland had gotten more dizzy, a loud ringing in their ears. There was also an intolerable pain in the place they hit their head.
"Let me guess, concussion?"
"Yes..." He looked back at Germany that was a blurry blob of mixed colors of Black, red, yellow and white.
"W-We've been searching for almost three hours I assume... We should rest, especially because of your injury."
"H..Huh...?" Poland said. He could barely hear Germany, as he got dizzier by the second. Then he blacked out.
Germany knew Poland would black out. Instead of Poland landing into the freezing snow, he fell into Germany's arms. Poland's eyes were closed, snow on their hair and face. Germany brushed the snow off with his index finger. He struggled, but was able to carry Poland in their arms, going a big tree that Poland could lean on. Germany also leaned on the same tree on the opposite side, curling into a ball, an attempt to warm himself up. He was still shaking, of course, but hey, the position kind of helped. They just sat there in their thoughts. How long would they be here? Would they even make it alive? He was just very worried, sitting there as the snow continued to fall.

Poland soon woke up, he woke up from the sunlight that was directly shining on their eye, as the sun was slowly setting. He could barely remember anything, as that was on his concussion. The only thing he could remember was that he was alone in the forest. Nie... I am with... with who again...? He tried to remember who he was trying to survive with. Niemcy. He recalled what had happened and looked on his left and right for Germany. No sign, he looked behind the tree he was leaning on and saw Germany's back, as he was curled in a ball.
"Niemcy...?"
The German turned around to see Poland. "What is it, Polen? I see you have awakened."
"W-What happened...?"
"Well, we were walking for hours until you collapsed from your concussion, I believe. I let you lean on a tree and now, here we are."
"Oh.. thank you."
There was a long silence. Soon, the sun had set and the sky had turned dark. It was now very cold, the two shaking hard. They were both very thirsty and hungry, but eating food in the dark would attract the wolves.
"Polen?"
"Yes?"
"This c-cold is getting worse by the second. The only way we can prevent ourselves from this is to... to sleep close."
Poland's eyes widened. "How close... exactly?""Hugging."
He immediately started getting more scared. The thought of dying in this forest scared him enough, but sleeping with Germany, that didn't help at all. But there was no other way, this was now life or death.
"I...o-okay..." He stood up and looked at Germany. The German nodded and he made a hole, with their hands, Poland helping a bit as well. It was small and shallow, but it was enough to fit merely two people. It looked like a coffin.Germany slowly got in it, his face, clearly uncomfortable. He gestured his hand to come to him. Poland was trembling not only from the cold, but what he had to do in order to survive. He hesitated, and slowly got in. He was uncomfortable as much as Germany was.
Then Germany put a hand on Poland's stomach. His eyes widened and Poland was scared as fuck. Flashbacks of the war had come back, making Poland tremble not from the cold but from the terrible memories.
Germany got his wings out, even though they were torn, he brought it over him and Poland like a blanket. Poland stopped shaking, but he was still scared. Why am I so scared...? I should be more scared of dying here.. He thought to himself. He slowly closed his eyes.
"Gute nacht.."
"Dobranoc..."
