DAY FOUR
Both of the countries were severely malnourished. Their feet were numb, severly frostbitten and purple, as well as their fingertips. When they were both awake, they could barely moved and just stared at the clouds that looked like... food. It made their mouths water, but because they couldn't actually have food, it just reminded the sharp and intolerable pain in their stomachs.
Finally, they got their strengths, poured the water in the plastic bags, and did the same thing as always: Feet in, feet out, feet in, in union. They were headed toward the mountains, and took short breaks to catch their breath and to ignore hallucinations. Each break gradually got longer.
"I... I-I see something!" Poland said, smiling.
The German was looking down and looked at Poland who seemed very happy. "Hm...?"
"HELICOPTER~!!" He was screaming, waving his hands, staring at the sky. Germany looked up where Poland was looking at.
There was no helicopter, no sound nor sight.
It was a hallucination.
"P-Polen..." He put a hand on the Polish man's shoulder and looked at him, disappointed. Poland looked back at the German. "It's a mirage..."
"W-Wh.." He fell to his knees. Never had their spirits been so high for the past few days, only to be crushed and smashed into pieces immediately, just with those 3 words. He clenched his knuckles as he went into a ball, and screamed.

They continued hugging, and continued doing their teamwork walk-in-the-snow, well, however you wanna call it. Anyway, towards the end of the day, they were now starting to walk with the incline a little higher. They camped that was somewhere near a cliff, and while Poland sat there leaning on a tree and making their 'coffin snow bed', Germany filled the plastic bag with water. They were too exhausted to say anything, and were still catching their breath from the walk as if they ran a mile. They just went to bed, not saying a word. They both knew they were doomed.
DAY FIVE
Poland woke up, shivering. Germany wasn't there for warmth. He wasn't worried at all, he was probably a few trees away. Well, he looked around and it wasn't. Maybe it was a dream...? He pinched himself. Nie.. it wasn't. Okay... he started to get a little worried again. Standing up took effort as well as looking, but it was worth looking around for the one they loved secretly.
They soon saw Germany, on the edge of the cliff. Poland's eyes widened. "N-Niem...Niemcy...?"
Germany couldn't hear them. They closed their eyes and went into a T-position. They started leaning. Poland broke out of his daze and started running. He fell into the snow, but he got up immediately got up and continued running. For every muscle he moved so fast, it hurt as much as it hurt being stabbed. He didn't care. The only thing he saw was Germany and him.
