Day: 10
Time: 10.16 PM
Location: Terushimas party.
Pudding head, pudding head, pudding head. She kept those two words at the front of her mind, as she scanned the room. Damn that boy was right, the pudding head was nowhere to see. Was he really there or had her friend seen stuff again?
Annoyed she let out a sigh and decided to try to gain the boy’s attention. “Oi Futakachi-san you there?” Still no answer. He had probably turned the communication devise off, for some weird reason. It did seem like him, so she wouldn’t be surprised.
She began scanning the room again, and it took her a few seconds, before her eyes fell on a guy with pudding hair. Finally! But damn that guy sure hid well. Futakachi hadn’t lied, he blended in like a snow fox on a field full of new fallen snow. Almost invisible, only leaving a few traces and chances to find him. Damn sneaky pudding fox.
The boy stood uncomfortably close to Terushima, even though it wasn’t her job to prevent the kill, she still didn’t like the fact, that the guy was going to murder someone right in front of her, and she could prevent it, but wasn’t allowed to.
It only took a couple of seconds for the guy to slip a couple of pills into Terushima’s drink, while whispering something without Terushima noticing. But in those few seconds, she so his eyes. They seemed annoyed, and troubled, almost like a cat, there had gotten trapped by a couple of dogs. Didn’t he want to do it? Then why did he? Why did he do it?
She blinked, which didn’t even take a second, but it was enough for the pudding cat to disappear into the thick pack of people, and for her to lose sight of him. She fanatically looked around for him, and just only so him slip out into the night together with some other figures. Damnit how many had they been in there? Her and Futakachi only got a look of one. Was that enough? Guess it was better than nothing.
Troubled she looked over at Terushima, who drank of the poisoned cup. She wanted to help him, but knew she would get in trouble, if she went against orders. And that wasn’t something on her wish list, she had already seen one guy get in trouble, that wasn’t very pretty.
When she ran out of the building to see, if she could find the people, who ran. She only managed to see them jump into a truck, there stood far enough away, for her to be unable to see the number plate or catch it on the little camera sitting on the clothes. Damn it.
Annoyed she walked over to, where the bike had been. It wasn’t there. Not that she had thought, it was, after what Futakachi had said. What did he even meant by ‘take another route back, and make sure no one is following you’? Had he noticed someone weird? When didn’t he notice something weird? He had seen stuff ever since, he got back. That kidnapping messed with his brain, sometimes he didn’t know, what was real, and what was just something, his brain made up. She ones asked him, what it looked like, what he so. He said, that he didn’t see shapes or people. He just so something else, then what really were there. He said, it could be a guy walking around all normal, and he would see a guy, who basically watched him and threated him. Or if he was looking for someone, and there was a guy in a crowd, he could mistake that person for the person, he was looking for. He said, it was basically a bad case of paranoia.
With a sigh she checked her wallet, she didn’t have many money, and wondered if it was enough to get her back to the office, she wasn’t really wearing the shoes for a long walk. Hopefully she could afford a taxi. If not then... pain.
