She had been rambling for what seemed like ages now. Surprisingly, and strangely, I didn't mind. Granted, I hadn't really retained anything she'd said in the last hour but there was something so sexy about watching this woman casually unfold in her own element. Who knew that math could be this enticing?
"Do these problems on your own and we'll compare answers, then we can wrap up." She said to me, her eyes finally meeting mine again since she went down the rabbit hole of equations and formulas.
Damn, I don't think I've ever been this attracted to a girl. She wasn't my type, that's for sure but that didn't mean she was ugly. I watched how she moved, how she spoke, even subtle things she did that she probably didn't realize when she got lost in the lesson plan. I wasn't plotting on her, I knew I could get her, that was never an issue. She was just a little more interesting to me than most girls.
Actually, she'd caught my interest faster than a lot of girls I'd been with.
There was something about her that piqued my curiosity. I had never seen her around campus, granted South Uni was a big campus, but I collided with just about everyone, from parties, to games, clubs. You name it, I was there. And I heard of people, through the grapevine, as I assumed they did the same about me.
But Tosha wasn't a part of that, or didn't seem as though.
She pushed the frame of her glasses back on her nose and curled her lip at me as I popped my last fry into my mouth, finishing my meal entirely.
"Did you hear a word I said throughout this session?" She asked, the sass in her voice undeniable.
I nodded. "I heard you speaking but you never stopped to break things down." I took a sip of my Coke.
She scoffed, pointing towards her opened textbook. "No, that's a lie, every time I finished a section, I asked if you were still with me."
"That's your version of breaking things down?" I questioned.
Regardless of how attracted I was to her, I knew what this was and I knew a girl like herself wouldn't want to get wrapped up with a guy like me. So for now, if she wants to make this strictly about teaching and learning, I would oblige.
However, we all know how situations like this play out. A little session here and a little session there, and she is falling madly in love with the entitled star athlete. I knew the power my title came with. Girls fell at my feet, shit, ready to shine my shoes for some quality time with me. And Tosha could easily become one of them, no matter how far she tried to stick her head in between the books.
Sighing loudly, she checked her phone. This wasn't the first time she checked it. Throughout our session, she casually took quick glances at the time. Did she have somewhere to be? Or maybe she had a boyfriend and I was intruding on their date-night.
I inwardly chuckled, if only he knew who she was sitting across right now.
"You got somewhere to be?" I spoke, aloud.
