Another win as everyone suspected. The season would be good for us, that much I knew. My teammates and I were overjoyed, especially as this win was against McAlister. McAlister was a school up north, for years we battled against them. Sometimes we took home the victory, other times we didn't. All in all it made good entertainment for the public and lots of money for the school.
This win, although was good, didn't have me feeling in the partying mood. Yet, here I was, in the middle of crowds of people inside my beach house ready to drink, smoke, and party their minds away.
My slumber mood had nothing to do with the game, even though my right shoulder was killing me like a bitch from a hit I took on the field. No, the slumber mood I felt was a lingering annoyance from my pest of a tutor.
Her words from last night stuck to my head like glue. I couldn't shake them, no matter how hard I tried.
I had spoken during the ride as it had been awkward and I didn't do well with awkward silences. I mean the least we could do was get to know each other while we shared sessions. What was so bad about that? Who wants to be spending an extensive amount of time with someone if they didn't at least have some sort of small talk going on between them?
Though she was right about a few things she said. I always stared at her. Because I took interest in her, of course, I wouldn't let her know that but I was at least man enough to admit that to myself. It frustrated me that she continued to bring to my knowledge that I wasn't her type, as if that mattered.
There were few women in this world that could deny my charm. She would be no different. However, in a way, it turned me on having her speak to me the way she did. Being silenced and succumbed to by a woman, a fearless woman, a woman with her head on straight, no distractions no matter what, was fucking sexy.
Deny it if you want, or accept the truth for what it is. She was a sexy woman.
And after the stunt she pulled in the car, my attraction only grew. I couldn't care less about the act she was trying to sell to me, I was a confident man who knew my attributes as well as how the game worked. I may have been failing in my math course but I was surely excelling in the course of women.
"Aye, man, you better tell Ryder that I'm only rolling four joints so if he misses out on the rotation, that's on him," Trey said, licking the wrap as he rolled our joints.
I know what you're thinking. How are athletes enjoying the luxurious glory of weed and still being able to play on the field?
Synthetic piss.
Trey sat on the sofa with a rolling tray in his lap while girls were hanging around him, barely clothed. It was okay for this occasion as the beach was only steps away.
The house capacity was higher than I anticipated but I didn't mind. As long as the cops weren't called and people continued to bring more alcohol, I was chilling.
