-- A Month Later --

Luke was sitting in Jai's hospital room, it had been a month since everything with Danny happened.

Jai still hadn't woken up, And Now the doctors were thinking about the possibility of taking him off life support. They had talked to Nicole about it and she had told them to do what's best, she didn't want Jai in pain anymore.

But Luke fought and he fought, he eventually locked himself in the hospital room with Jai. He hadn't been home for days. Everyone was worried for him.

He was angry at the doctors, at Nicole, Beau, James, Daniel, Ronnie, Mariam, Victoria, and Alyssa for all giving up on Jai. The only ones that stood by Luke were Kiana and Lucy, they knew Jai would wake up.

The door opened and in walked Kiana and Ruby " Hi Uncle Lukey, Hi Daddy" she said hugging Luke then hugging Jai.

She knew what had happen, Luke had told her and seeing confusion on the little girls face her she was told her daddy wouldn't wake up.

"Hi beautiful girls. What are use doing today" Luke said kissing Kiana on the lips and picking Ruby up in his lap.

"Well I took her for the day so Nicole could have some time, and Lucy took Lucas and Jye for the day as well." Kiana said sitting next to him.

"How's he been " she said nudging her head towards Jai. Luke smiled at her.

"Nope nothing his gotta wake up Kiki, I can't lose him." Luke said looking at Kiana in the eyes.

She gave him a sad smile " I know sweetie, I know it pains you to go through this. But remember you have me, Lucy and everyone to help you through it. " Kiana said playing softly with Luke's curls.

" I'm going to save him. His not gonna leave us Kiki I know it, his gonna wake up." Luke whispered to her.

She nodded " And I believe you Luke, just don't lock yourself away, don't do what Jai did to himself." Kiana said holding his hand.

They stayed a couple more minutes until Kiana decided it was time to go, She needed to make dinner for Ruby and get her to have a bath.

Luke told them that he'd come home for a little bit and than come straight back.

Ruby was sitting on the little table that was there colouring in a book. She came over with a piece of paper, she put it in Jai's hand and kissed his cheek.

"I love you daddy." she whispered into his ear, and jumped off the bed.

She grabbed Luke and Kiana's hand and walked out with them to the car.
They drove back to Kiana's apartment.

She made dinner for for Ruby and Luke, They sat at the table and Talked about everything. Ruby excitedly told them about her day at Preschool.

Luke looked at Ruby and Kiana, both making funny faces at each other and laughing at each other.

'I need to be strong for Ruby now, she needs me' he thought to himself.

He took a sip of his drink, he wanted a family. He needed to be strong for the others and Kiana and Ruby.

"Luke sweetie Ruby Can you take Ruby up to her bath. I'll put the dishes away and I'll be up there soon." Kiana said clearing away the dishes.

" Come on pumpkin, let's take you up for a bath stinky" Luke laughed picking Ruby up throwing her over his shoulders.
