Introduction

I was shocked more than anything. My fear and anxiety had morphed into pain, yet relief. I couldn't believe this was happening. But now, more than ever, I was doubting what I truly wanted.

Flashback

*Andromeda's POV*

We were on our end of the year school fieldtrip to the museum, and I couldn't be more uninterested.

"And this, students is the frozen man. He came from outer space and crashed on our planet almost 3 centuries ago." I listened to the tour guide drone on and on about the mysterious man from the galaxy and how it was destiny that he landed on our planet. I had heard it all before. Everyone knew the legend. We grew up talking about it at our kitchen tables.

It's the last day of junior year in SEP, just suck it up and listen Andromeda. I thought to myself. Just one more hour and you're done for the year.

Suddenly, icy cold air hit my face like a thousand needles. The ice capsule containing the frozen man was opening, cold gas billowing out like in those alien movies. Everyone ran away screaming, but I couldn't move. It was like my feet were glued to the ground.

*Noah's POV*

I gasped for air, as I slowly came to. I didn't know where I was, nevertheless what year it was. All I remember was what happened before I was frozen.

*Flashback*

"We men have been chosen to terraform Neptune. No one has ever done this before and it is an extremely dangerous mission. However there is also a catch. You will be frozen, kept inubated so that people in the future will have minds from the past in order to make Neptune habitable. You will have been frozen for 500 years when you wake up on Neptune. Do you men understand?" We all gave him a nod. "Okay, good luck to all of you."

Soon after the leader, my father, gave us his speech, he pulled me aside to talk to me.

"Noah, you're the youngest one on this voyage. Are you still sure you're up to this mission?" He asked me, a worried look on his face. Cold blood rushed through my veins, as I had never witnessed my father in a state of true worry.

"Yes sir, I've been training to do this since I was a kid. You and I both know I can do this." I replied confidently. I had been working with NASA since I was in the elementary years. My father worked there, and I always tagged along with him. It wasn't long until they figured out I was some sort of prodigy and ended up recruiting me at the age of 10. I was now 23 and I knew that I was ready to do this.

*Flashback Ends*

I gasped for air after the ice had completely thawed.

Was I on Neptune now?

I slowly opened my eyes to be met face to face with a girl. I didn't remember any women being chosen to perform the mission. She seemed terrified, but I would bet my expression was identical to hers. I was within a building filled with paintings, fossils, and memorials.

I think I'm in a museum...

The girl opened her mouth to speak.

"You're the frozen man." She blurted out. Her eyes turned wider than saucers and she quickly covered her mouth.

I'm the frozen man? What is she talking about?

I began to look up and down my body. I couldn't move my legs all to well. I took a step and nearly pancaked onto the ground. I took one more and almost regained my balance. Soon enough I lost it. I didn't know where I was, I could barely move, and some random girl was calling me the frozen man.

"Where the bloody hell am I? What is this place? Why am I here? Where's the rest of my crew, and why in the name of God are you calling me the frozen man?" I burst out, smoke nearly coming out of my ears. I couldn't take it anymore. I was supposed to be on Neptune.

"Andromeda, get back." A male's voice called out. I snapped my head in the direction of the voice to see and old man with glasses on, a group of college students behind him. That's when I realized something. They were all...

Blue.
