I screamed in agony as one lick after another of the whip attacked me and my dignity. The pain seared throughout my entire body, blood beginning to stain my clothes. I never thought that I could experience this kind of agonizing pain. I knelt down on my knees only to be struck once more.
“Get up Sharman!” The skilled torturer howled. I looked up and swore I saw the face of a beast, staring down at me, thirst and hunger reaping into my soul. Somehow, he knew the perfect methods of torture, beating me to the point that would pain me, but not so much as for me to pass out. The beast circled around the corpse that was left of my worn down body, eyeing me with blood lust, drool dripping like a faucet.
“Tell me Sharman. Why is Earth so interested in your puny mind? All I see is a worthless mutt, unable to protect himself.” I lifted my head, my body throbbing from the agony. My chest rose and fell from the heavy breathing.
“I told you.” I gasped between breaths. “I. Don’t. Know. Anything.” The monster chuckled and bent down to stare me in the face.
“I don’t believe you, Sharman.” He hissed, spit flying all over my bloody face. He sauntered away towards his fence of torture. His eyes scanned each object, picking the best toy for his methods. His expression lit up when he found the right one.
“Ah… This little beauty should do the trick.” He slithered his hand around his lighting rod, and began trotting towards me once more.
“No…” I whispered, a wave of fear engulfing me. “Please don’t please no. No, please!” I shrieked with terror. I wasn’t in my right mind, weeping for mercy at this man’s feet. I gripped his ankles and cried. His leg arced backwards and swung straight for me. The blow hit me in ribcage, sending me flying backwards.
“Get up.” He snarled. I quickly scrambled to my feet and sprinted for cover, finding the comfort of a small corner. I whimpered seeing him lumbering towards me, torture toy in hand.
Oh my God, I’m going crazy.
All I could see was the face of a hairy monster crawling towards me. The fear was driving me insane. I tilted my head towards the stairwell, my only method of escape, to see Aster still standing there like a statue, staring at my pain.
“What’re you still doing here?” I spat as the man pulled me towards the center of the room. Aster returned my snarky remark with deafening silence, as he stood there, cloudy grey eyes consuming my agony.
How do I get out of here?
I wracked my brain for ideas, thoughts, plans, anything that could get me out of this satan inhabited hell hole. I knew that if I tried, I could most likely beat this torture artist, but how would I get past Aster?
I slumped down to the ground and found myself next to my unlocked, blood stained handcuffs.
I’m going to die in here…
The creature began walking towards me once more, fooled into believing I had no strength left in me.
Well you thought wrong you son of a bitch.
I swung my leg out and swooped it under him, sending his legs flying upwards. He flopped onto his back, and lost grip of the torture weapon. I swiftly leaped towards it, gaining the upperhand.
“Let me go…” I panted forcefully, gasping for breath. I stuck the weapon towards his face, prepared to harm him under any circumstance.
“I said…” I gasped. “Let me go.” This time, it was my turn to growl. I could feel hatred burning in my eyes. He stared back, daring me to hurt him with his eyes. I let out a frustrated scream, and flung the weapon straight at his face. I turned and began a sprint towards the stairwell. I turned to see Aster, frozen to his spot, staring with confusion. I swiftly got by him and leaped up the stairwell.
“Don’t just stand there you Heliotic! Go get him!” I heard the beast howling at Aster. Once I had reached the top, I remembered something.
Aster was so nervous, he was too stupid to lock the god damn door. I let a maniacal laugh, pulling the door open and stepping out into the world. Sunlight shone over my body, overwhelming my eyes. I fell onto the ground, weak to my knees.
Night had already passed. I stumbled back up and towards Aster’s car. I used what was left of my intelligence to break into the car and start the engine and began the long, dreadful drive home.
What lie was I going to tell Andromeda this time?
