Chapter One :
Rowan's P.O.V.
Six AM flashed on my phone as my alarm blared signaling it was time to wake up for school. The first day of senior year... I pushed the snooze button and hopped out of bed stretching as my body cracked and unraveled. Grabbing my phone I started to play Cold Hearted by Jack Johnson and Jack Gilinski. I plugged in my hair curler before washing my face and brushing my teeth. In the middle of wiping my face with my towel, Rachel, my twin barged into my bathroom and grabbed my curling iron unplugging it from the outlet.
"Thanks for warming it up. I needed this." She said snickering while walking back out.
I rolled my eyes but didn't argue. She wasn't worth it anymore. Heading out of my bathroom, I went to my vanity and started with brushing my hair then applying my skincare. I grabbed my toner placing it on a cotton pad gently swiping in an upward direction. Then I added my serums, moisturizer and sunscreen to protect my skin from the harsh sun. Living in California was no joke, especially since the sun is always out even when it's not out.
I got up and went to my closet allowing time for my skincare to settle into my face before I go back to apply my makeup. I changed into black skinny jeans, a white botton up, and paired it with a black and grey vest. Sitting back on my vanity, I applied my concealer, some eyeshadow to give my eyes more definition, a half eyeliner wing, mascrara, highlight in my inner corners and under eyes, then placed on a rosy blush, highlight on the high points of my face and lastly a lip tint to give my lips some color. I applied some eyelashes I had cut up to the outer corners of my eyes and set my face with setting spray. Satisfied with my look, I placed my dainty golden necklace with my first name initial around my neck and added small golden hoops to my ears. Before heading out, I put my socks and shoes on then headed out with my bag in my hands.
