Once I got to work I realized I had the day off because I had agreed to go to the party being held tonight. I groaned and smacked my head against my steering wheel before heading home. I turned my phone back on and texted Lucie I'd pick her up when school ended. Then I took a much needed nap but set an alarm before.

Naethan showed up as we were eating spaghetti in a simple black tee and jeans with his hair down in a messy way. I didn't miss the way he swiped his arm across the lower back of Lucie. I feigned ignorance and continued my meal before we all headed out.
"Here's the plan, I need you guys to distract Carter as I sneak into his room to search for my locket. I also need someone to look out for Rachel. She knows and she wants to convince Carter it's her and I know she'd be able too. We cannot let them interact. Sounds like a plan?" I asked as we neared the party.
"Okay, but how did Rachel find out?" Naethan asked looking at me through the rear view mirror.
"Cause she loves to snoop around and we both have similar lockets. She knows exactly how mine's looks like and she could easily convince Carter it was her."
"So you don't want Carter to think it's her but you won't tell him it was you?" Lucie asked.
"What? No, I don't care if he thinks it's her. I just- I want my necklace back." I scoffed.
