He really wanted to take you to the Snowball, but you were insistent on not going unless someone asked you. Dustin was slightly troubled by that, since he was only your friend, nothing more. So, he shied away and didn't ask (which was sad for you, 'cause you wanted him to ask). Nancy was kind enough to dance with him when no one else would and give him some advice.
