Chapter 14

Ashton

Me and Natalie stayed in the room for a little bit, I think we're dating now but I'm not sure. I'm never sure with her to be honest. But I think that's why I like her so much, she's unpredictable.
"Hey ash." She said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah babe?"
She smiled for a moment then her smiled turned into a frown. "I have to call my parents."
"Is that really necessary?" I sighed.
"Yeah it is, I should at least tell them I'm not coming back." She started walking towards the phone.
"If they ask where we are don't tell them. Seriously Natalie I don't want you back in that environment."
She smiled and started dialing. "Thank you ashton."
I smiled and sat quietly as she waited for someone to answer.

Natalie
I was nervous to call them, obviously. I wasn't going back, I don't belong there. I belong with the people here. "Hello?" I heard the familiar voice, it was my mom.
"Hey.. Mom."
"Oh my god Natalie? Are you okay honey?"
"Yeah I'm fine. Just telling you that I won't be back."
My mom was silent for a few seconds. "For how long?"
I looked over at Ashton, who was messing with the bracelets on his wrists. "As far as I know, forever. At least I hope so."
"Natalie, you're 16 you're not an adult."
"And that's stopping me how?" I huffed. I saw Ashton smirk and look at me.
"You're lucky we haven't claimed you missing Natalie. Now come home."
They haven't claimed me missing... How long have I been gone? "No. I'm not coming home. Ever. I'm done with this family. You don't even care do you?"
She was silent. "Yeah. That's what I thought. I figured I'd call you to tell you I was okay, I don't know why I did. Maybe because I had hope that you guys would actually care about me, but you don't. I'm done." And with that I hung up the phone.
"You okay babe?" Ashton said as he got up and came over to me.
"Yeah, I'm okay. Just angry at them. But I have you, so I'll always be okay." I smiled and kissed him.
He smiled and laced his fingers with mine. "I guess we should leave this hotel. Start making our way to somewhere."
We walked out of the room after collecting the things we had with us.
we walked into the lobby and saw everyone sitting there and waiting for us. Emily instantly smiled when she saw me and Ashton walking towards them. Hailey smiled "finally!" She said as she laughed.
Ashton turned in the keys and came back over to us. "Let's go guys."
And now, we're on our way to somewhere new.
