" You're LATE, Ms.Soo! I believe you are well aware of how much I value punctuality!"
"For the last time, you asked me to drive you home from a STRIP CLUB in the middle of a Saturday night! I don't think you are in any position to talk about time ma...
Later that afternoon, Jimin and Namjoon met at Mc Donalds for the lavish lunch Jimin had promised. They were both seated by the glass window that allowed them to look at the busy roads outside. The elder's feet impatiently tapped against the tiled floor as he waited for his friend to order. Jimin, on the other end of the table, was very perplexed about what to get. Its almost as if he had never been to a burger shop before.
"What are you up to, Jimin? How hard can it be to choose a burger for lunch? Hurry up, you sloth. I have got classes to teach in 20 minutes."
"Dear lord, Hyung. I am only wondering if I could get something delicious off the Kid's Menu."- Jimin reasoned as he displayed all his perfectly white teeth in a wide grin. One of the front tooth, being a little crooked. But that only added to his charming smile, that wooed women in a matter of seconds.
"Jimin! You are a grown ass man. I believe they won't let you buy something off that list because you are clearly above 6. Even if your pinky speaks against it."- Namjoon muffled a laughter as he sat, proud at his remark.
The little man, dressed classy in his grey suit, childishly blew raspberries at his older friend. That sure did earn him a few snickers from the women who sat behind, admiring his mood.
"I'm pretty sure they would consider, once I say its for Baby Luna, back home."- he winked and went back to scanning the menu, as if it were a piece of modern art.
"Good gracious, Chim! My daughter isn't meant to help you grab a pack of nuggets here! Do not drag my child into your conspiracy."- he warned.
"Conspiracy?! That is too strong for a word, Hyung. Besides I only want to get them for you to take home. If you won't feed that little dumpling, then I will! Hmph!" -Jimin argued back.
"You don't get to say that. I work hard to try and give her all she wants. Luna means the world to me, Chim. We both know that..."
"Then act like it, Hyung. Maybe the little girl doesn't want any luxuries, but just her Appa's company. She lacks a mother's love, Hyung. The only thing that 2-year-old would want, is for her only parent to accompany her to the park."- Jimin spoke. He was not taunting his friend. Atleast, he didn't intend to. Luna's well-being got him concerned on every note. After all, he was the Chimmy to Namjoon's precious princess.
"Thats enough, Jimin. I thought I had asked you to keep out off my business. Luna, won't be getting a mother anytime soon. Love disgusts me. I have lost my trust in women, Chim. And wouldn't want my child to lose her mother figure again. Its not as easy as you think. So for the last time, get your burger or I am stepping out."-
"I understand where you are coming from. After Seo In left, you have been through a lot, taking care of your infant has been a tough ride for you, Hyung. But, all I mean to say is...'Don't make her feel as if she were a mistake, Hyung.'...She won't be able to live with it."- The younger spoke, misery and pity clearly evident in his soft tone.
"I am only hoping she understands why I am doing this, when she grows up. Its all because I want her to have a better future."- he clarified.
It sure wasn't easy for Namjoon to be a single father. Neither was it easy for his offspring, to grow up without a mother figure. He understood that very well. But he too, was suffering. He too was helpless. He too felt incomplete, but there was nobody to accept him. Atleast, thats what he thought. Luna was his only reason to stay happy. She was the only being who could comfort him when he felt down. The baby angel was a blessing in his dull existence. Losing her, was the last thing he would want to do. He couldn't afford another heart break after what he had to face.
With all these invading thoughts playing in his mind, Proffesor Kim, now stared at the view outside the window. However, his peace with nature was interrupted as he curiously observed his assistant walking by. Her small hands had been dragging Chris by his ear and pulling him across the pavement.
"What, in the name of Bloody Dracula, are those idiots doing out there?!"-Namjoon inquired, slightly amused at their behavior.
And much to Jimin's surprise, his friend was now bursting into shrieks of laughter....
