Garnet You two met each other when Steven popped a bubble in the temple and while looking for corrupted gems they found you. Garnet was interested as you were interested in her.

Amethyst While you burst out of the ground you stumbled upon Amethyst as she was out with Steven eating. Once she saw how cool you were even though you doubt yourself a lot she trusted you to be around the gems and Steven.

Pearl When you met Pearl, you were a homeworld gem coming to Earth and just like Steven towards Peridot, Pearl saw you were good and since you were on Earth and stuck there you figured it wouldnt hurt to see what the planet had for you.

Steven You came to Earth as an order and saw Steven and had saw that he was cool and kind and, of course, the gems broke your way back to Earth and tried to capture you Steven stopped them and begged them to let you have your freedom.

Peridot You were a Crystal Gem and once Steven convinced Peridot that Earth was good, the two of you became really close.
Lapis You were a gem trapped in a fusion. Lupus saw the fusion come apart and the two gems were an angry gem and you, a very shy and very traumatized gem. Lapis took care of you a lot after the event.
Spinel Just like Spinel, you were a gem abandoned by your leader or someone you looked up to. You met Spinel when she was on her way to Earth to kill Steven. You didn't know sbout her plan but still followed her to Earth.
