Hey guys! This is my first Wattpad story I've written, I'm very open to constructive criticism or suggestions for the story, just let me know :) Hope you all enjoy it!
It was your first day of y/grade, you were always a fan of school but you were extra excited about this year's classes. You had woken up a few minutes before your alarm clock was supposed to go off but decided to get out of bed anyway. Better to get a head start, you thought to yourself. You rolled out of bed and grabbed your phone, you headed to the bathroom where you washed your face and got ready. Once you finished you went back into your room and put on a long white and purple flower dress you bought a few weeks ago. It went nicely with your hair and skin tone and even showed off a bit of the cleavage and butt you had developed over the summer. You finished admiring yourself in the mirror and got ready for the day.
Once you arrived at school you walked into your first class of the day. "E103" You read, underneath that you could see "A. Gray" who was your AP psychology teacher. You were most excited for this class because you had been interested in mental illness and why the brain reacted that way for the past couple of years and couldn't wait to take the class. You took a small breath in and walked inside of the classroom, you saw your best friend Mya, and right behind her was her brother.
"Y/N!" Mya yelled and ran to you. She noticed that your smile had dropped when you had entered the room. Her brother, Eric, had been staring at you as well.
"I didn't know anyone a grade under us could take this class." You said, slight confusion in your voice.
"Oh come on Y/N, don't pay attention to him."
"You know me," Eric began to chime in, "I always need a challenge, even if it means getting left outside of the classroom for half an hour." You lightly chuckled at the inside joke Eric had made. You and Eric had both been in the same photography class in 8th grade, Eric, who was a year younger than you, was in 7th. You had spent the whole year together goofing around and playing video games instead of doing your homework. Eric one day got sent outside of the classroom for messing around and forgotten for half an hour and you watched him through the small window laughing.
"Hello to you too Eric." You said playfully, making sure you weren't being too flirty but not rude. You were known for a very flirty personality but flirting with your best friend's brother when you used to have a crush on him wasn't the smartest idea.
Mya dragged you to the desks she and Eric had chosen. She had chosen to sit as far away from Eric as possible and Eric had done the same, leaving you right in between them.
As you sat down next to Eric you began to study him. It had been a while since you had seen Eric and Mya, most summers they had to travel to their dad's house in New Jersey so you were never able to hang out during the summer. You kept in touch over social media, however, which Eric was never allowed to have since his mother didn't trust him, but it still made the summers hard without Mya.
As you continued to look over Eric, without letting him notice that you were, you noticed that he was tanner, taller, had a deeper voice, and even had nice muscle definition, which you thought was strange considering he normally stayed inside and played video games all day but maybe he had spent this summer differently. Your mind started wandering and thinking about what he might have done over the summer but you stopped yourself quickly, but you did wonder if he had thought you had changed since the last time you saw him.
After class ended you and Mya grabbed your bags and got ready to head to the ASB (associated student body) room. You and Mya had both been elected for your third year in a row and were looking forward to planning this year's homecoming, a tradition given to y/grade.
As you stood up you and Eric slightly brushed hands against one another, you felt a shock of electricity run up your body and you began wondering if he felt it as well. You gazed into his eyes noticing how green they were, out of the corner of your eye you could see the light freckles that ran along his nose. You could have stared into his eyes forever but you heard Mya start to mumble something about her schedule. You quickly broke your gaze with Eric and began walking with Mya.
As you and Mya started walking out of the classroom and down the hall you couldn't help but look back to try and spot Eric. Once you did you noticed he was looking at you too, you quickly turned back to Mya but you couldn't stop the butterflies that were coming from your stomach.
