"Hey Y/N want to get lunch together?" Mia nudged you with her elbow trying to wake you up from your nap.

"Yeah sure, I thought you had plans with Brayden though?"

"We had to cancel. So is that a yes?"

"Yeah sounds good." Once class was over you and Mia headed out to her car. You two drove and got lunch, and found a park nearby to eat at.

"How come you're not eating that much?" Mia asked you. You looked down at your food and realized how little you had eaten. "You've been losing quite a bit of weight you know, I'm worried about you." You stared at her and shrugged.

"I don't know, I guess I'm just not as hungry."

"I know about you and Eric." You paused.

"There's nothing to know." You responded quickly.

"After that party, I was talking with Pete and he told me that my dick of a brother was screwing you." Your eyes grew wide. "Of course I would rather not have him explain it like that but it makes sense now. The way you two act around each other and how you both have lost interest in things since you had that fight." You looked down at your hands nervously. "Why didn't you tell me about it."

"What was I supposed to say. I didn't want you to think I was only friends with you because I liked your brother."

"Y/N you two make each other happy, Eric was the less annoying as usual when you two were together but now you two are just sad and mopey."

"I don't know what to say to him, how would I even get him to talk to me."

"He doesn't want to talk to anyone else, he misses you and you miss him. Go to him and tell him you're sorry and makeup." You felt tears roll down your cheeks as you smiled at her. "I'll get my mom out of the house tonight and you can come over."

"But what if he doesn't want me back."

"Then you move on, sometimes it seems better to just like someone from afar because you think it will hurt less but getting hurt is a part of life, everything is going to work out. No matter what I'm still going to love you, you're going to do great no matter what. Apologizing for your mistakes is already difficult for a lot of people to do, you've got this." Mia leaned over and kissed you on the cheek.
