Fixing a broken heart

Amusement Park

2 weeks later

Toni put on a plain white T-shirt with some denim skinny jeans and black converses. She'd always wear something comfortable to the amusement park so she could move around freely.

"Ready, Bre? We have to pick up Cheryl and the twins soon!" Toni called.

"Meet ya in the car!" Breanna said before walking out of the two-story house.

"Okay, guys. Toni's outside!" Cheryl called for her 4 years olds.

They ran out of their bedroom, opening the door.

"Careful guys. Let me just grab your jackets just in case." Cheryl sighed, grabbing the small jackets before leaving and locking her door.

"Hey, T. Hey bre." Cheryl smiled at the mother/ daughter duo.

"Hey, you guys ready for a day full of fun?" Toni asked, looking back at the kids.

"Yeah!" Sophia and Alex yelled making Breanna giggle at their excitement.

"Let's get going then!" Toni smiled as Cheryl interlaced their hands.

Breanna saw, smirking when she saw Toni chuckle. She was happy that her mother was happy. Sometimes seeing Toni moping around the house made her feel bad but knowing that Toni is happy with Cheryl and that she likes Cheryl she's fine with it.

"What rides are we getting on first?" Breanna asked making Toni look in the rearview mirror.

"Ohh, how about that tea cup ride?" Toni asked.

"Oh! I love that one." Breanna smiled as Sophia agreed.

"You haven't even been there, Soph." Cheryl chuckled.

"I like teacups." Sophia giggled.

"Okay, so the teacups are over there." Breanna said as Sophia grabbed her hand as they walked over to the ride.

Toni carried Alex as she and Cheryl followed behind the two girls.

"Their cute." Cheryl smiled, looking over to Toni.

"So are you." Toni smirked making Cheryl shake her head playfully with a blush.

As they approached the ride, Breanna and Sohpia had already had their wrist bands scanned.

"Wanna get on, bud?" Toni asked the boy on her shoulders.

"No. That's for girls." He shook his head. Cheryl giggled as Toni nodded her head, agreeing with the small redhead.

They waited until the ride ended so Sophia and Breanna could follow them over to the gaming stands.

"5 Bucks on Cheryl!" Breanna said as the redhead and Toni went to play the water rasing game.

"You're MY daughter." Toni said.

"Touche." Breanna giggled.

"Don't worry, Toni. I'm on your side!" Alex smiled.

"That's right!" Toni smirked before she and Cheryl started the game.

The kids cheered the two moms on.

Cheryl won (obviously) Breanna gave Cheryl a high five before turning to Toni and holding her hand out.

Toni huffed, pulling out a 5 dollar bill, handing it to her smirking daughter.

"Thanks, mom!" She said before following Cheryl and the twins.

"Oh! I want a teddy bear!" Sophia said, pointing to the stand with teddy bears of all sizes.

"Ohhh, I can win one for you." Toni smiled, paying the man.

Toni put the rings on all of the bottles without missing.

"We have a winner!" The man cheered, handing Toni the biggest Teddy bear.

"Yay! Yay! Thank you!" Sophia smiled.

"No problem, girlie." Toni smiled.

The next ride they got on was a family ride.

The group got into the seats, letting the man buckle them in.

"I'm so excited!" Sophia squealed.

Then zoom, the ride took off making the group scream in surprise.

Alex held his hands up as Cheryl looked shocked.

Alex didn't like anything scary or fast, but I guess it was different today.

After the ride, Toni suggested they get something to eat then go play more games, to which the group agreed too.

"I want Nacho cheese dip with chips." Breanna nodded, remembering when her dad would buy it every time they'd come here.

It was actually their first year coming here without Blake. She looked up at Cheryl who was telling Toni what the twins wanted after Toni took her order.

She watched as they spoke, the way Toni was looking at her made her heart smile. Her mother was falling in love, and by the way, Cheryl was staring back at her she knew that the redhead was too.

Alex's giggle snapped her out of her gaze as he and Sophia laughed at the kid's menu they provided.

She smiled at them, hoping that in the future they'd be her stepbrother and sister. She always wanted siblings, and Sophia and Alex were the closest she got.

Soon the two mothers returned with a tray with food and drinks on them.

"Thanks mom, thanks, Cheryl." Breanna smiled.

"No problem." Cheryl smiled, sitting down as she handed Alex and Sophia their food.

Toni smiled at her daughter as she caught her staring at her.

Breanna rolled her eyes, digging into her food.

Toni pulled into the driveway of Cheryl's house.

Cheryl smiled at Toni before kissing the girl's cheek.

"Thank you for today. The twins had a blast." Cheryl smiled, looking back at Sophia and Alex who were knocked out beside Breanna who was also asleep.

"It was no problem." Toni smiled.

Toni helped Cheryl bring the twins into the house before standing at the door to wait for Cheryl.

Cheryl comes out of the twin's room, smiling at Toni.

"Thanks again." Cheryl smiled, hugging the Burnette.

"Again, it was no problem." Toni smirked, before kissing Cheryl.

She pulled away, looking into Cheryl's eyes.

"Will you, uh... Will you be my girlfriend? Like officially?" Toni whispered.

"I'd love nothing more." Cheryl whispered with a smile before leaning in to kiss the girl again.

"Mommy?" A half-sleeping Sophia peeked her head from the bedroom.

Cheryl pulled away from her girlfriend, looking back at her daughter.

"I'll be there in a sec, beautiful." Cheryl said making the girl nod before going back into the room.

"I'll call you when I get home." Toni nodded.

"You better, Topaz." Cheryl smirked causing the Burnette to shake her head playfully.
