"Where are we?" I asked
"Hey, you over there!" Kaito shouted pointing to the girl in the coat.
"Shit more shadows!" She cried.
"Shadows? W-wait hold up we're not evil! Where are we and who are you?"
The girl lowered her gun and I got a good look at her. H/c colored hair and e/c piercing eyes. She wore a purple shirt with a long black coat. A black school cap rested atop her head.
"Lemme guess you guys clicked the red-eye app on your phone huh?"
"Yeah, now tell us where we are!" Kaito yelled
"Welcome to the metaverse, this place is formed from someone's deep desires. Only the most distorted people have palaces for themselves."
"So who's palace is this?"
"I'm not positive you guys know her, but this is Kaede Akamatsu's palace."
Kaede's palace? No way this can't be true! Kaede doesn't have any selfish desires, I'm her best friend! I would know if something was up! I looked at the structure before Kaito and I. It looked like that one music venue in New York, Madison Square Garden? Yeah, that. The structure was the same but at the top, there was a giant dome.
"Well guess you're coming with us, I mean it's not like we can leave you guys behind." The cat sighed
"A talking cat?"
"I AM NOT A CAT!" It yelled lunging at Kaito
The mystery woman grabbed the cat by its bandanna and yanked it back.
"This is why I never should've brought you. All you do is cause more problems,"
She mentioned us to follow her into the building and Kaito quickly caught up to her. I stayed behind to process all this information. This is all Kaede's doing? This is her desire? I couldn't believe it, but did I have a choice? I mean was there really any other explanation for all of this?

The palace's inside was very elegant and refined. Almost like a real castle! It reminded me of a lot of Futaba's palace for some reason with the aesthetic matching the outer interior. There were lounge rooms and guest rooms as if this was a hotel and a music venue combined. There was one enormous grand entrance room and a girl sat and the giant piano.
"Ooooh! Guests are here!!" A voice ringed out
Kaede. I should've known I would've run into her sooner or later.
"Hello, gues- oh it's you guys, and Shuichi!"
Shadow Akamatsu ran over to Shuichi and fangirled over him.
"OH my gosh, he's here!! Welcome to your kingdom Shuichi! Now what to do about the intruders?"
"Kingdom? Kaede are you-"
"Ok, guess we're executing them!"
"Executing?" Kaito blabbered, "Kaede why are we-"
"No buts! This is what Shuichi would want!"
"I didn't even say anything!"
I tried to summon my persona but it didn't work. I thought maybe the palace nullified my persona but when Morgana summoned his I knew something was wrong.
