THIRD PERSON P.O.V.
It has been a while since Harry has stayed at the Burrow, and he can confidently say, that it is nothing like living on Privet Drive with the Dursleys. They like to keep things neat and tidy, whereas the Weasleys house bursts with the most unexpected things. The ghoul in the attic likes to howl and drop pipes when things get too quiet. Along with this, Fred and George's bedroom would boom with explosions, but clearly it is quite normal, as the rest of the house is unfazed. But to Harry, the most curious thing about Ron's house is that everyone he lives with seems to like him.
Harry has also been to (Y/N)'s house with Ron, and like the Burrow, it is much better than his house on Privet Drive. He can't help but feel intrigued by the houses his friends live in. It's nothing like houses he's been in in the past. Ron's house has many floors and, in a way, seems uneven, yet comfortable and welcoming. (Y/N)'s house, on the other hand, feels more like a normal Muggle house, except for the fact that a Dogwood tree is growing from the ground of the kitchen, getting closer to the roof everyday.
At the moment, Harry heads down the stairs of the Burrow and into the kitchen to eat breakfast with the Weasleys. The pair find Mr. and Mrs. Weasley at the table with Ginny already eating. The minute Ginny sees Harry, she accidentally knocks over a bowl of porridge. She seems to be very clumsy when Harry is around her. With a pink face, she ducks underneath the table to retrieve the bowl. Pretending he hadn't noticed, Harry sits down with Ron and Mrs. Weasley offers each of them a piece of toast.
"Letters from school," Mr. Weasley announces, passing Harry and Ron their Hogwarts letters. "Dumbledore knows you're here, Harry — doesn't miss a trick, that man. You two've got them, too," he adds as Fred and George sleepily stumble in.
Everyone is silent as they read the letters. As usual, the students are told to ride the Hogwarts Express from King's Cross station of September first. Along with that new books are listed for the coming year. Harry scans the list.
SECOND-YEAR STUDENTS WILL REQUIRE:
The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 2 by Miranda Goshawk
Break with a Banshee by Gilderoy Lockhart
Gadding with Ghouls by Gilderoy Lockhart
Holidays with Hags by Gilderoy Lockhart
Travels with Trolls by Gilderoy Lockhart
Voyages with Vampires by Gilderoy Lockhart
Wandering with Werewolves by Gilderoy Lockhart
Year with the Yeti by Gilderoy LockhartFred looks over Harry's shoulder and reads his letter.
"You've been told to get all Lockhart's books, too!" he says. "The new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher must be a fan — bet it's a witch."
