(Y/N)'S P.O.V

I walk around Diagon Alley, looking for a trace of any of my friends. I walk for a couple minutes before seeing a head of familiar, untamed hair. A smile dances its way onto my face as my eyes lit up with excitement.

"Hermione!" I call out. She turns her head my way, along with the two boys beside her. I run up to her and give her a big hug.

"(Y/N)! I missed you so much," Hermione beams.

"I missed you too! How was your summer?" I ask, pulling away from the hug.

"Oh, it was alright. Though, I did miss being with you guys a lot," Hermione explains. I nod and hum in agreement. Sure, I've been with Harry and Ron for a lot of the summer, but it feels great to be with all of them at the same time. I looks over Hermione's shoulder to Ron and Harry. I raise a brow at Harry's appearance.

"What on earth happened to you? Why are you covered in soot?" I ask, slightly amused. Hermione lets out a huff and Harry rolls his eyes to Ron's laughter.

"It was my first time using Floo powder, and I ended up in Knockturn alley," Harry explains. My eyes shine in amazement.

"Really?" I ask. "I've only ever been there once in my life, but it was for, like, five minutes because I got lost. What's it like?"

"Malfoy was there. And his dad. They were in Borgin and Burkes," he says. I give a nod, unsurprised. If I recall properly, tons of the decorations at Malfoy Manor were quite ominous, to say the least. Ron gives me a tap on the shoulder.

"You know what he said? D-Dia-gon Alley," Ron says, imitating Harry. Ron and I begin laughing and Harry's cheeks turn pink with embarrassment. I even see Hermione display a small smile, turning away to hide it.

"Yeah, yeah. Make fun of me all you want, but if you stay here any longer just laughing, you won't get any ice cream," Harry says, beginning to walk away. I run up to him and wrap an arm around his shoulders.

"Oh c'mon, we're just teasing. Besides, I can buy my own ice cream," I say with a smile. I let go of his shoulders and walk beside Hermione, catching up with everything we couldn't fit in our letters.

All four of us continue to walk through Diagon Alley, eating large strawberry-and-peanut-butter ice creams that Harry bought us. Despite my protests to buy my own, he still paid for mine. While we walk, we look through captivating store windows. Ron looks earnestly at a set of Chudley Cannon robes through the display window of Quality Quidditch Supplies. I join his side and look at all the new brooms and Quidditch supplies. We continue to gawk at the store before Hermione pulls us away to buy ink and parchment next door.
