5 minutes

Chapter 3

   The school day drags on and throughout the day Hailey is nowhere to be seen, at least not till after the last bell of the day. When I leave the school building I see her in the car with John still holding the door open.

“Home?"
“No we are going to the mall first"
“Your parents are expecting me to get you home immediately after school have you informed them that you have plans yet"
“Well I informed Rose this morning, she will tell my parents if they start to worry"
“Ok " he shuts the door and gets in the car.

   We keep quiet for the rest of the car ride, me mentally preparing myself to shop till I actually drop.

   We arrive at the mall after about 10 minutes and got out of the car after telling John to be back for us in an hour and a half. Afterwards Hailey dragged me into the mall and immediately started talking with me only half listening that is till she said something that peaked my interest.

“So then he asked me to be his girlfriend and I obviously said yes then he was like he wants me to come to his party after the football game this Friday then I said I had plans with you but I could cancel sorry then he said no need that I should just bring you along so we have to get you a dress for the party"
“What?!! who are you even talking about?"
“Richard!!! Ugh Dakota you literally have the attention span of a goldfish"
“Ohhh he's on the football team yeah?"
“Yeah, he is so now let me find a cute dress for you because if I don't I know you'll show up in the baggiest joggers you have"
“Is that an option" I ask hopefully
“Nooo!! Now let's go"
“Yayyy" she rolled her eyes at my sarcasm

   She dragged me around for about another hour or so and after I paid the bill we headed towards the food court seeing as we still had 15 minutes till John comes back to get us.

“Where do you want to go" I ask Hailey
“Well I've been craving chipotle but I'm also craving Mcdonalds what about you? "
“Girl I just wanna eat please pick one"
“Wait you know I can't eat anything that will give me a food baby or else they will drill me during cheer practice I cannot survive another drill but I really want chicken nuggets"
“Mcdonalds it is"

   I walk fast so she doesn't have time to change her line and we quickly order our food and start to walk towards the parking lot so John can take us home. Upon getting there we see John already waiting with the door opened for us.

“So I'll come over around 9 on Friday so we can get ready for the party together don't forget 9 sharp"
“Yes Hailey 9 sharp I got it bye"

   She climbs out of the car and goes into her house.

“Home?"
“Home"

So I'm thinking about updating chapters every Wednesday so yeah.
