Yoongi was shocked at himself for the sudden revelation.
He had fallen in love with Hoseok.
It was so fucking wrong. He hated the fact that he loved his own fucking kidnapper, and would be broken into pieces after he had left him.
He hated that whenever he looked at Hoseok, his chest fluttered, his heart beated out of his chest and he felt all weird inside. He hated how he would do anything for the younger, despite knowing the fact very well that Hoseok would just leave him with his broken heart in the end.
He hated how the younger lit up his world more than a thousand lanterns would ever be able to.
But he couldn't do anything about his feelings.
He glanced at Hoseok, the younger looking up at his, his cheeks stuffed with noodles, his eyes widened like a doe's.
"What?" He asked, his voice muffled from his stuffed mouth, "Is there something on my face?" He inquired, completely oblivious to what Yoongi was feeling.
A mixture of pain, dashed with a pinch of shock and mostly fucking lovesickness.
"N-no." Yoongi replied, his heart was hurting, badly. The blonde felt tears gather in his eyes, though he didn't know the reason.
"Yoongi?" Hoseok asked, his eyebrows furrowing as he swallowed the last bit of his food. "Hey, what's wrong?" Hoseok asked, in a soft voice.
Hoseok made his way over to Yoongi, sitting by his side on one of the beds. He put a hand on Yoongi's shoulder, the elder hiccuping, his face in his hands as he broke loose.
"Hey, you okay?" Hoseok patted his shoulder, being sure not to invade his personal space. If falling in love with your victim was a normal thing, maybe Hoseok would've held Yoongi in his arms, rocked him slightly, ran his finger through the elders hair until he eventually calmed down.
He would've, if his life hadn't been so difficult.
"Yoongi? Are you okay, bun?" Hoseok asked, his features shifted into a one of concern.
"I- I do-don't know." Yoongi sobbed, "I don't k-know!" He wailed.
"Hey, shh... it's okay." Hoseok rubbed circles onto his back, the poor boy being illuminated by the pearly light kissing his figure. His shoulders were shaking as he took slight gasps of breath into his hand.
"It's not. It's not fucking okay!" Yoongi yelled, looking at Hoseok.
Hoseok looked at his puffy eyes, his reddened lips from biting on them to contain his sobs. The tears streaming down his cheeks in heaps.
The boy's lips trembled, "It's not okay." His voice cracked.
Hoseok felt like someone had punched his heart. He looked at Yoongi, the pain in his heart growing stronger, the agony gnawing at his insides faster than before.
None of this was okay.
He shouldn't have been so fucking selfish, keeping Yoongi for himself. What was he thinking?
He had known the consequences, yet his stubborn self had decided to do it anyway. All of this, was his fault.
He brought up a hand to Yoongi's cheek, the elder sucking in short gasps of breath, a few more tears escaping his eyes. Yoongi sniffled, leaning into Hoseok's touch. The younger felt wetness gathering on his palm, Yoongi's tears. And they were his fault.
Hoseok looked into his glistening eyes, struggling to withhold his own tears. "I'm so s-sorry. So so fucking sorry, Yoongi." He used the pad of his thumb to wipe off the salty tears on Yoongi's cheek.
"I- I'm so fucking sorry. I- I'm s-sorry." He repeated, one or two tears slipping out of his own eyes.
Yoongi looked so broken, so fragile. Hoseok couldn't bare to watch this anymore. He didn't fucking care anymore.
He didn't care that all of this was wrong. They just weren't destined to be, why wouldn't his fucking mind process that?
Hoseok wrapped his arms round Yoongi, surprising the elder. He placed a hand at the back of his head, pressing his face against his own neck. Hoseok's other hand made his way to Yoongi's back, holding onto him like his life depended on it.
Yoongi let himself softly cry, his tears staining Hoseok's 'PUSSIES RULE' shirt as he tried to inhale the younger's scent, hoping to comfort himself.
Hoseok rested his head on Yoongi's, whispering sweet nothings, "It'll be fine..." "It's gonna be okay..." Although he wasn't sure if it was assuring Yoongi or himself.
Yoongi's quiet hiccups slowly transformed into sniffles. Hoseok rubbed Yoongi's sides with his hands, the elder holding onto him feeling like there was nothing else in the world.
They sat there, on the bed, holding each other. Yoongi sitting on Hoseok's legs, the younger holding onto him tightly, yet as if he was a fragile piece of glass.
"..."
"I'm gonna get the ice cream for you, 'kay?" Hoseok spoke, his voice slightly cracking. He wiped his face, getting rid of any tears he had shed before.
Yoongi nodded, however, he was still holding onto Hoseok. His head resting against the younger's chest, Yoongi was able to hear the steady thrumming of Hoseok's heart, contrasting heavily to his own rapidly beating one.
"Okay." Hoseok slowly, detached himself from Yoongi. The elder let go hesitantly, wiling his face with the sleeves of his hoodie, he pulled out the keychain as Hoseok left.
Yoongi stared at the keychain in his palm wistfully, enveloping the item in his pale fingers. He sighed, why was everything so complicated?
Hoseok came back with the ice cream tub and two spoons. "Couldn't be bothered to look for the bowls." He said, his voice not being enough to break the quietness of the moonlit room.
Hoseok sat next to Yoongi, taking his hand in his. He looked at Yoongi, his eyes filled with concern. "You okay?"
"M'fine." Yoongi replied quietly.
Hoseok sighed.
Opening the tub, he scooped out a spoonful of vanilla ice cream.
"Open up, bubblegum." He spoke softly, bringing the spoon closer to his mouth.
Hoseok made airplane noises with his mouth as an attempt to cheer Yoongi up, and maybe make the awkward atmosphere a little more cheery. However, it didn't seem to work.
"Baby." Hoseok said, the nickname slipping out of him naturally, "Open up."
Yoongi turned pink, but obliged anyway. He opened his mouth, Hoseok feeding him the ice cream.
"If you were ice cream, you'd be my favourite flavor." Hoseok suddenly blurted out, clapping a hand over his mouth and turning red. "Sorry." He mumbled.
Yoongi looked at him, a rather crooked, sad smile on his features but it was something.
Hoseok managed to give him a half-hearted smile back.
