(They hold each other's hands and matched their steps to the rhythm)

Ek Ladka Tha Ek Ladki Thi

(Ranbir twirled Prachi out)

Hoti Kya Hai Jawaani Suno

(Ranbir extended his hand to her and she put her in his)

Ek Ladka Tha, Ek Ladki Thi

(He pulled her in and clasping both her hands, wound his own arms around her from behind)

Woh Bhi Ek Daur Tha

(Encompassed in his arms, Prachi experienced the same breathlessness and fluttering sensation)

Waqt Hi Aur Tha

(Ranbir closed his eyes as the breeze flowing in through the open window made some tendrils of her hair sweep over his face, wreaking havoc on his senses)

Jab Woh The Ajnabi

(Both reminisced the days when they were strangers, their first meeting, and their incessant fights)

Dono Tanaha Se The

(Both realised how alone they were even in the midst of a crowd, while swaying to the music)

Par Woh Kehte Kise

(Her hands still clasped in his, Prachi took a step forward,acknowledging that without her knowledge, Ranbir had become her confidante)

Baat Jo Dil Mein Thi

(Ranbir pulled her back within the circle of his arms,acknowledging that he had become dependent on her for his happiness and peace of mind)

(Ranbir twirled her around, making her face him)

Ek Ladka Tha Ek Ladki Thi

(Prachi wound her arms around his neck as he wound his arms around her petite waist)

Hoti Kya Hai Jawaani Suno

(They swayed to the rhythm of the music, lost in each other's eyes)

Ek Ladka Tha Ek Ladki Thi

(Ranbir twirled Prachi and pulled her back in his arms again)

Gumsum Gumsum Rehte The Dono

(Ranbir twirled Prachi around him and now they were facing the opposite sides)

Phir Bhi Dil Mein Kehte The Dono

(He leant forward and she leant backward on him)

Koyi Sapana Hum Bhi To Paayein

(They twirled around and face each other)

Ek Din Tute Ghum Ke Woh Ghere

(Ranbir's arms wound around her waist and he leant forward,making her lean backward)

Jhilmil Jhilmil Aaye Savere

(They moved from left to right and then straightened again)

Mausam Badala Jaagi Fizaayein

(Holding her waist he pulled her closer and her hands clutched his shoulders)

Woh Mil Gaye, Woh Khil Gaye

(They were so close that their breath fanned over each other's faces, rousing unnamed emotions stronger than them)
