There were different continents the magic folk were from, they technically are the same as the now continents just with different names for the type of magic each witch and wizard mastered easily.

NightSun, where I'm from and where Layne is sadly from, is the continent of dark magic. We're more likely to be on the evil side, and extremely unlikely to be on the latter. It's now referred to as North America.

The grasslands was the herbalists but they also studied alchemy, which wasn't what they were known for. They were the original Australians.

SethLilly, the continent of necromancy. Surprisingly, they were all really nice and not constantly looking for death or killing anyone, most of them were murder virgins. They're from the now South America.

Deva, for divination. Deva is the modern Africa. Kristinedum, that's transfiguration in Europe. Antiphonus, for battle magic, in Asia. And the far boring Delta, where they studied Astronomy from the depths of Antarctica.

Though no one lives in Delta, we all piece the magic from its ancestors into our own, we also learn it in school.

In NightSun, we learned how to manipulate the gods will for the deepest, most estranged motives. I've never done it for the fun of ruining a god's mood. When we do learn how to, it's on a special day each year. The god's allow for chaos learning on Hades' birthday. Which is quite rude but it's something I cannot change. One major thing that it taught during this lesson is hexing- which is forbidden in mass movements and punishable by death, because a hex only effects other magic folk and not the regulars. The majority of hexing is done by newbies, it's a stupid stereotype, I know, but it's a true one.

The mass hex that we learned about first was the one to loop time. Once cast, the caster can live on their life or choose to re-live certain aspects while the rest of the magic folk are forced to re-live the day it was cast. You can probably guess who cast the hex that's messed up our world, Layne Paa. She's always wanted to ruin my life.

We have the same birthday and are technically flame-twins, which are magic children born on the same day on the same continent, because normally one magic child is born each day on each continent. It is unusual for a flame-twin to have a deep resentment for their twin. Usually they share a deep and meaningful mark that brings them together and they end up dying together in some strange way.

It takes a lot of power for a witch to hex anyone, let alone an entire world. I don't know how it can set off inside of someone's head to ruin some perfectly normal lives. Layne used to be a really nice girl until she and I had to share everything, she always thought I was the "popular" one when she had all the friends.

Layne is the type of girl to go off on you if you as much as even glance at her boyfriend or if you have a typo, she'll tell you how grammatically incorrect you are. She's so hot headed, it's as if she's the spawn of Hades himself.
