"You can't stop me, Shannon." Layne laughed. My body twitched in disgust. I wanted to charge at her body that was fading away from a teleport. Blue lightning crackled from my fingertips before I threw it at her, barely scorching her sleeve.

"What was that?" My friend Kade asked. He's one of the few wizards who don't know their power. I shrugged him off and stormed towards Layne's house. Kade followed behind at a hunter's distance.

"Listen, Kade, I need you to go get the White twins, Luke, and Jade. Meet me at the tunnel at 1." I said sternly, he nodded and ran off to go get the twins along with Luke and Jade. It was currently 11:30 am.

"Every time she does this! Who does she think she is? I swear if we go through this one more time I'm going to let the lightning strike her heart." I grumbled to myself, the people who walked passed me in the opposite direction gave me strange, almost fearful looks.

When it finally turned to 1 o'clock, we congregated at the tunnel where we had all first met.

I immediately hugged Benny and Zane White. We'd gone to school together for three years before meeting Kade, Jade, and Luke.

I pulled Benny and Kade away from the others for a moment, I gave them a look and I shared a relative memory. I gave them the first sight of power they'd have, so they could be on the lookout for it. When I shared, they were confused. "You'll know what it means when the time comes." I whispered before rejoining the others.

"What the hell are you?" Kade looked at me. I could feel his fear pulsating throughout his limbs. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I managed to make a small amount of dark matter to form in between my hands before showing it to the group.

Gasps of the five other people sounded. "I'm a witch, but you've probably  guessed that by now," I began. The others opened their mouths as if they were about to speak. "And the only reason I'm telling you guys this is because we've been reliving this same day over and over." I passed a small ball of dark magic between my hands. "Layne, my narcissistic jealous flame-twin, set this up to ruin my life and because she's my flame-twin, and sadly I am the chosen one to fight her to end this time loop. That meaning, I have to kill her." I finished.

The first person to speak up was Zane. "So does that mean we all have magic?" He asked.

"No, only some of you. Benny and Kade, that's the sole reason I pulled you apart from the others a moment ago was for you to find out you have magic trapped inside of you. Zane, Luke, you are just regular humans, but Zane since you are directly related to Benny, you can withhold magic he conjures." I informed the boys, leaving Jade confused.

"What about me?" Jade stuttered.

"Jade, you are a particularly intricate case. See there's a prophecy about a child being born on a gods' birthday. Only to be found out you were born the day Lord Hades was. And before you assume you're a child of Hades or Hades reincarnated, you are not. You simply are powerful in dark magic, like I am, and like Layne is but aren't capable of any formable magic." I told her. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it tightly.

"I don't understand. What do you mean?" She asked again.

"I mean, you are powerful, you can withstand even the strongest of magic though you cannot produce any that we have knowledge of. But that is all I can say, okay?" She nodded.

"Alright, we need a plan," Luke said. We nodded. "We know where Layne lives right?" Luke asked directly to me and I nodded. "So we know that, but how are we going to help, if you have to kill her?" He pointed at me, almost touching my chest with his fingertip.

I bit my lip. "I was hoping you wouldn't ask that. But you'll help me by killing her. I have to land the final blow, but we can do everything we can in our favor to do so." I balled my fists before continuing. "We have to burn her body when we're done, so none of the necromancers in NightSun can revive her. She has to be in ashes then get rid of them." I was going to say more but limited myself, they didn't have to know that they might die in the process aswell.

"You're hiding something. I know you are." Benny said, making me look towards him with watery eyes. "Tell us, or at least one of us. We can handle it." He added.

I was thankful Kade was from SethLily and had necromancy in his blood. "Um. I didn't want to tell you guys this because I knew it would strike fear into you and then you might've backed out in helping. One of us might die during this. I have a strong feeling it'll be one of you three." I pointed to Luke, Jade, and Zane. "Only because you cannot conjure magic. Though if someone does happen to die, Kade is from SethLily or South America if you rather, which is known for Necromancy." A dastardly tear fell from my eye as I finished. He stared at me as I finished speaking.

"How am I supposed to perform any sort of necromancy when I don't know anything about it? I only lived in South America until I was two." He rambled.

"I can teach you the basics, but me being from North America, I can't perform it," I told him hesitantly. He nodded, I could feel his anxiety radiate throughout the group.

I stood up and walked away from everyone, with Benny following after me. "I just put everybody into danger." I sniffled as I sat back down on the ground. Benny, who'd sat next to
me, put his hand on my back and started rubbing it gently as I continued. "This is between me and Layne and yet I'm bringing a group of people into this and half of them can't even perform magic." Tears slipped past my eyes and fell onto my sweaty skin.

"Hey, don't break yourself over this, we all would have helped in a heartbeat, even if you hadn't said anything but that we had seen you hurting. Remember that there's always a bright light in a thunderstorm, okay?" He spoke softly as he pulled my head to rest on his shoulder.

"Benny, please, you don't understand. She used my wand to cast it, to put the blame on me. Once people start to find out that this has happened, and they find out the incantation came from my wand, I'll be- I'll be sent away for good. The punishment for casting a time-loop spell is- I don't even want to say it." I stalled. Tears still fell down my face as Benny stared at them. His hand slowly made their way to my face and wiped the tears. His thumbs lingered on my cheeks for a moment. I reached up with my left hand and placed it over his right. "The punishment is death, Benny." I breathed out finally.

His face twisted in horror. "But why would they kill you if you hadn't cast it?"

"There's no way of telling who cast a spell on a wand, you can only tell the last spell cast but not the caster. I'm just hoping no one will know." I put my face in my hands before feeling Benny wrap his arms around my body.  I could feel his heartbeat quicken then slow rapidly with his breathing.

We sat there for a few more minutes, I was starting to care less about getting to Layne before the day repeated and I'd have to do this for the 51st time again. I sighed as I felt Benny lift his hands from around my body. "We have about 10 and a half hours left until the day starts over. It may seem like a long time but considering we don't know where Layne is, it will cut into the time we have to end this... and her." I said loud enough for the whole group to hear. "I still need to teach Kade a crash course in necromancy, which will take at most two hours for him to successfully revive something. Benny you still need to unlock your powers too." I pulled Kade aside to start his necromancy learning after telling Benny how he can unlock his magic from being suppressed for too long.

Majority of teaching Kade consisted of him meditating to help him concentrate on bringing something back to life. I'll be honest, I have no idea what I'm doing, but this is what my old friends in SethLily told me how they were taught.
