"Amelia! Amelia!"
I heard someone's voice faintly shouting my name. Suddenly, I felt as if I was being hit by something on my face. With my sight still in the clutches of the night's glue, I hesitantly rubbed my eyes.
"Amelia, you sleepy head, wake your ass up!" shouted Maddie, hitting my head with a pillow.
"Ya, Amelia, you can't be sleeping for this long!" continued Emma in an aim to gang up on me.
"Okay, okay, I'm awake you can stop now," I said in a sleepy voice.
Maddie and Emma have been my best friends since fifth grade, and since then, we have been inseparable. We trust each other, love one another and definitely have each other's backs! They had come over to my house for a sleepover for the whole weekend.
"Jeez, you guys ain't tired from gaming all night?" I asked, finally slightly less sleepy.
" It's only been like five freaking hours since we slept!" I exclaimed.
"Are you kidding me, five hours are enough," said Maddie smiling.
"It's Sunday hun, you need to cheer up, stop complaining," continued Emma.
"Okay, fi-"
*Knock! Knock! Knock!*
I was interrupted by the sound of my dad knocking at the door. Emma, Maddie and I all stared at the door eagerly as silence struck my room. My dad opened the door and entered the room.
What did my dad want now?
"Morning ladies," greeted my dad expectantly, with a goofy smile.
"Morning," we replied in unison.
"What brings you into my room dad?" I asked politely.
"I was wondering if you could stop by the grocery store to get a few things for me, I will text you the list of things," he replied.
"Ugh fine, I will" I said halfheartedly.
I hated going outside the house, especially being sent to the grocery store. My mom used to be the one to buy the groceries but ever since she traveled, it has only been my dad and I in the house and I always get sent to buy the groceries. My dad left the room and my friends realized how bummed I was.
"Hey, we can tag along with you if you like," said Maddie concerned about my feelings.
"Thanks, y'all just make me feel better," I said joyfully.
"Aight, lets get ready, by 10:50 a.m. we should all be ready!"
"Rodger that ma'am," Emma and Maddie both said jokingly as they saluted.
Our house had four bathrooms, therefore us getting ready was not going to take so long. I went into the shower in my room and showered as quick as I could. I brushed my teeth, washed my face and finally dressed up.
