"Where do I position the TV? " I asked my mom while carrying the heavy television. To be honest, my arms were getting really tired and I needed a response immediately.

We had arrived to Flora the day before, very late at night. It had been a really long journey and all I wanted to do at the moment was to sleep. However, I couldn't get enough sleep because I had to help mom unpack our stuff and settle into the house.

"Put it- ummm- adjacent to - the- sofa," my mom responded with uncertainty.

*Boof*

Suddenly, we heard a loud thud coming from the roof. My mom and I looked at each other in astonishment.

"Maybe it's just a random rock that hit the roof," I said, trying to give a possible explanation for the outcome.

"Yeah, it's probably no big deal," my mom said. We all ignored the sound and I proceeded to place the TV where my mom had instructed.

A few minutes later, we heard the doorbell ring.

"Are you expecting someone mom?" I asked in bewilderment.

"No I'm not," she said also perplexed.

"Okay, I'll get it," I said as I walked towards the door.

On opening the door, my heart leaped on seeing who was at the door. She had wolfish amber eyes like limpid pools of gold that adorned her exceptionally pale face, long, dark hair that tumbled over her shoulders like a fountain of molten obsidian, a straight-edged nose, and rosy pink lips .

She was pretty!

She seemed very astonished on seeing me. She looked at me as if I stole her bag of Lays.

"I-"

"I - was - wond-ering if- you could help me- get my ball - from your roof," she stammered.

"You again," I said glaring at her.

"You've been nothing but trouble today!"

" I didn't expect YOU to be my new neighbor," she said, seeming offended by my statement.

I proceeded to look further at the gate where I could see two other girls giggling , the same girls she was with at the grocery store. I assumed they were her friends.

"So will you help me, please, " she asked, seeming so desperate. I wasn't trying to make any enemies on my first day in this city.

"Okay fine," I said willingly.

"Did you see where the ball went," I asked the girl.

"I just know it landed on your roof," she said.

"Amelia, Emma and I need to go now, we'll catch up with you later," said one of the girls standing by the gate.

Oh Amelia, that's her name!
