"I like you." Namjoon blurted out as Jin directly looked his direction. "What?" Jin said, uncertain if he had heard correctly. "Oh- I mean- I like your.. Shirt, yeah I like your shirt." Namjoon panicked, coming up with a dumb cover-up. 'Ok, what the hell was that Namjoon.' he mentally cursed at himself. "Um, thanks..?" Jin responded, disappointed by getting his hopes a little too high. "yeah, you're welcome." Namjoon yet again cursed under his breathe.

After some time of awkward silence, Namjoon cleared his throat. "So, where are you heading to?" He asked, trying to start a conversation. "I was going to the grocery store..wanna accompany me?" Jin said as Namjoon didn't hesitate to say yes. The store wasn't too far away so they went walking together. "Come over for dinner." Jin told Namjoon. "We had dinner at your place last time, it's your time to come now." He continued as Namjoon smiled. "Okay."

Soon, they arrived to store. Namjoon followed Jin around, helping him carry what he had picked out since he didn't know how to help in any other way. Twenty minutes later, Jin paid the cashier as he started taking the bags of groceries but was interrupted by Namjoon. "Leave it to me, hyung." He said as he started picking up the bags. "But they're a lot- let me help you." He protested but Namjoon stopped him. "Let's go back." he said while holding all the bags.

Unlocking the door, Jin let the younger in first. He headed to the kitchen and placed the bags on the counter. "Are you going to make dinner?" Namjoon asked as Jin nodded. "Let me help you." he said as Jin laughed. "It'd be better if you didn't." the older said as the younger pouted. "Please~" he pleaded him as Jin shook his head, "Okay, fine." he laughed again.

Yoongi wasn't home that night so they were all alone together. Namjoon found a good opportunity for that.

Almost done with preparing dinner, the atmosphere got a little tense. They were stealing glances of each other here and there, waiting for the meal to cook. Namjoon then noticed how Jin's bangs were messy, stuck to his forehead by his sweat due to the steam. "Let me fix your hair." Namjoon said as he held Jin's head by his jaw, his slender fingers carefully moving his hair in a less messy way. That's when Jin realised how close their faces were. As if the steam from the pot wasn't enough, his face grew redder, he was blushing.

Namjoon finished fixing the older's hair, but he didn't let go. Instead, his gaze dropped onto the older's plump lips. Jin noticed that, but he was too taken aback to do anything, he was even holding his breathe due to how nervous he was. Then it happed, Namjoon filled the small gap between their faces, connectimg their lips. He felt his heartbeat grow faster in his chest, Jin wasn't any better.

Namjoon started moving his lips, but not knowing much about kissing, he tried. Jin then followed his movements. It was a soft, tender kiss. They then pulled away, catching their breathes. Namjoon was internally celebrating, he finally did it. And it seems that Jin enjoyed it as much as he did- so he felt very relieved. Jin didn't have the courage to look into Namjoon's eyes, his gaze was fixed to the floor, face still flushed red.

Though he looked nervous, the smile on his lips was pretty evident. Namjoon was proud of his actions.

"Dinner i-is ready." Jin stuttered mid sentence. He took a deep breathe as he glanced at Namjoon, them heading towards the pot, turning off the stove.

They both sat down on the table, no words being exchanged. Still recovering from what happened. They started eating, small glances were exchanged from one another. But Namjoon couldn't take the silence anymore, he cleared his throat. "Perhaps, do you.. Regret it?" he slowly said, worry evident in his voice. Jin looked up at him. "What-no, why would I?" the elder said a bit too quickly. Namjoon sighed in relief. "I just wasn't expecting it." the elder continued.

"Well does that mean that we're.. Dating now?" Jin asked as Namjoon nodded. "Only if you want to." the younger said. "Of course I want to, you took to long to finally ask me." Jin said as Namjoon chocked on his food. "W-what?" he asked. "Namjoon, don't you realise how obvious you are?" He smiled as he said that. "Like what you said earlier was a great example, you like me? No you like my shirt." Jin laughed as Namjoon slightly blushed.

Heading outside, Namjoon was still at the door while Jin was behind him. They said their goodbyes but they just can't get enough of each other. "I love you." Namjoon said with a smile, dimples showing; leaving Jin in absolute awe. "I love you too." Jin smiled back. Namjoon quickly pecked Jin's lips before completely going outside.
