Determination

Ink pov
I woke up feeling a little weight on me I looked and saw (Y / N) sleeping peacefully on my chest. I pecked her cheek and she slowly opened her eyes and made the most adorable yawn I have ever heard.
We got up, but surprisingly there was no sign of Dream and Fresh.
I became nervous, I had to find them as soon as possible, anger invaded my skull at the mere thought of Nightmare.
But then I realized something shocking. She. I could not leave her alone another time. I would not have had the courage to do it. I turned to her and picked her up and spoke to her firmly.
"Listen to me. Now we have to go to Underswap. I will take you with me, I am too afraid that they will come to kidnap you again. Stay close to me and whatever seems too strange to you or catch your attention, tell me, don't come near it "
"O-ok"
I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. Adorable. Obedient.
Those were the things that I loved of her.
Weak. Insecure.
And those were her weaknesses.
There was another thing that made me seething with anger every time I thought about it. Her soul.Her soul had been kidnapped and she was soulless now.
I laid it on the ground and with the brush I created a portal for Underswap. As we entered, I held her arm because I didn't know what could have been there.

(Y/N) pov
I felt Ink hold my arm tight, he had become very protective of me.
As soon as we jumped into the portal, Ink groaned.
It was all destroyed, Muffet's... Blue's house...everything.

Ink pov
I didn't believe what I saw. It was all broken, nothing was in its place. We started walking down Snowdin towards Waterfall. Then we would go to the Hotlands to see if Blue and his brother were doing well from Napstaton.
We were running out of Snowdin when I heard a deafening noise above us.
To my horror I saw a tree fall on us. I immediately took (Y / N) by the arm and yanked it on me to get it out of the trunk path. She threw out a scream when we fell on the cold snow. It had fallen on her face and was now frozen. I handed her my scarf and put it around her neck. She thanked me and we continued on our way.

A few minutes later ...

(Y/N) pov
We have arrived in Hotland. Undyne's laboratory was not far away and we soon reached it. We knocked, Undyne opened to us.
"Oh it's you! Are you okay?"
Undyne ran up to me and hugged me.
"Hello Undyne, y-yes ... I'm fine ... w-what happened here?
"Please, come in, we're all here"
Ink and I entered. Ink stopped to talk to her about what had happened, but I went ahead under the sad looks of Underswap's inhabitants.
I saw Alphys severely injured, she smiled faintly and beckoned me to come over to her.
When I approached, she wrapped her arm around my shoulders and spoke to me.
"Hey punk ... listen, I know it may seem strange but ... even the little ones like you can do something. Even without a soul, trust me, you can do a lot!"
I heard someone approach and I noticed Toriel putting a hand on my head.
"She's right, please, save our world of you can..."
I was intimidated by their words, but they filled me with determination and I nodded, sure of myself.
Suddenly I heard hasty footsteps running in my direction. I looked up and saw Grillby running towards me.
"Soon...Muffet would like to see you..."
Alphys and Toriel let me go and I followed Grillby quickly. We reached a room and with horror I saw Muffet lying on a bed with her eyes closed and a syringe attached to her arm.
"M-muffet!"
She slowly opened her eyes and noticed me, I had tears in my eyes and she told me to come closer.
"W-what happened to y-you?"
Grillby spoke for her.
"Some bad skeletons attacked her local, she had to protect the people inside and she has been attacked"
I started crying, she had become my best friend, she stretched an arm up to my face and stroked my cheek. I held her hand as tears ran down from my cheeks.
"Darling, it's you ... I'm so happy to see you again ... don't worry about me ..."
Grillby came up to me and comforted me because I was getting sadder and sadder.
"Dear ... Papyrus and his brother were taken by that gang that attacked my local ..."
I sighed in hope and smiled.
"T-thank you! D-do you know m-more?"
"Unfortunately not ... but I know we all wanted to see you again, you can save us..."
I was filled with determination once again and held her hand more thight.
"Thank you Muffet"
She smiled and closed her eyes again, she was very happy.
"Thanks for coming, she was worried about you"
Grillby spoke to me, i smiled.
"No problem, don't worry, i'll find a solution for this AU"
I ran out of the room and went to Ink.
"Papyrus and Blue have been kidnapped"
"Where were you?"
"I was talking to Muffet, she gave me information"
"Good, now we have to go in that orrible place again..are you ready?"
I hesitated a little before I heard a strong whistle behind me.
"Punk! Remember what i said! I believe in you!"
She raised his fist in the air with a big smile on her face.
The others present followed Alphys and raised their fists in the air as a sign of strength for me.
I turned to Ink and saw that he too had his fist raised.
I've never felt so determined in my whole life.
I raised my fist in the air.
"I'M READY!" I screamed.
Everyone cheered as Ink designed a portal for Nightmare's Castle.
"We have arrived. This is the decisive moment "
