The hourglass

(Y/N) pov

I didn't understand much...my time was going backwards? I was...cursed?

Reaper had us gather around him avoiding touching me or he would have killed me.

"Okay, we should go to my Gaster, he can control magic and stop human's life time"

Thus, Reaper teleported us all to his world.

She also called Toriel, in case I felt bad she could have exerted her life power over me.

We arrived in a dark room.

Toriel held me in her arms and cuddled me as if she were my mother.

Reaper was in front of us. Shortly after, he motioned for us to stop, he went ahead and knocked on what looked like an iron structure.

"Gaster. Come out"

"Reason?"

"A human needs your help"

A door opened. A hooded figure emerged.

Toriel put me back on the ground and let the figure come up to me and peer at me intently.

"What do you need?"

His voice was so hollow ... I hesitated to answer but just as I opened my mouth, Reaper spoke over me.

"Gaster, stop. You're scaring her, don't you see it?"

"Then why did you come here?"

"Her hourglass is cursed, you must stop her time"

"Since when have you been giving orders to your own father?"

"I wouldn't dare if it weren't a matter of life and death, and in case you don't know, it doesn't feel correct killing a 7-year-old kid who saved an entire AU from the genocide route"

"Hmm...okay"

Gaster took me by the hand, lifted me up and put a hand on my chest. He tried to get my soul out but he couldn't.

"What the hell- what kind of witchcraft is this?!!"

"She doesn't have a soul. Nightmare and his gang destroyed it"

"Well, then there's only one thing to do"

Gaster looked me straight in the eyes.

"Destroy the hourglass"

He put me back on the ground and Reaper walked over and pulled out the hourglass.

Gaster snapped his fingers and my head suddenly started spinning.

Toriel held me on my feet as the hourglass slowly began to empty.

I began to feel better again when the sand was all on the ground in front of me.

Reaper handed me the empty hourglass. "Break it" he told me.

Toriel lifted me into the air, exercising his power over me. When I was about Reaper's height, I dropped it to the floor and the hourglass broke into a thousand pieces.

Gaster's right eye lit up blue and a gust of wind sent the sand of the hourglass and all its pieces flying away.

It was over.

I was forever free of the curse.

"Just to ask, how old are you (Y / N)?" Gaster asked me.

"I'm seven"

"So, you're seven and you saved an entire AU from the genocide?"

"Y-yes sir..."

"And how did you have your soul, have you ever seen it?"

"Y-yes...kindness and determination, but determination was very low..."

"Kind of weird...when did you use your determination if it was very low?"

Memories of the torture in Cell C flooded my mind and made me unable to speak.

"She suffered severe torture from Nightmare, then she tried to escape and she went to our world, but they found her and brought her back, and then they tortured her again and again. They didn't even feed her" Toriel spoke for me.

"I see. Your story is very interesting, human"

"Gaster, you promised you wouldn't experiment on humans"

"Ugh...fine. Goodbye human"

Gaster returned to the iron structure.

"Well, we're done here" Reaper said.

"Thanks for everything, come on kid, let's go hom-"

I hugged Toriel tightly, I really would have missed her.

"Take a safe trip home and stay out of trouble, goodbye my child"

"Thank you Toriel!"

Then I went to Reaper. At least I could no longer die.

"Ah kid, you don't have to"

"Thank you!"

"No prob, hehe"

Ink took me and after opening a portal, we all found ourselves at home.

"Ayyyyyyyy wassup broskis? Kid! Finally see you okay and without problems!" Fresh sat on the sofa with his arms behind his head.

"Fresh!" I jumped on him and hugged him. I also missed him a lot.

"Hello Fresh, thanks for coming here"

"No prob dude, kid can you tell me what happened that night when ya were with me?"

"Oh...yes, Nightmare just made me have bad dreams and gave me curses on my soul...then i...um..."

I didn't know what happened to the others when i was with Fresh..

Fresh made me float in the air and then drop me into his hug.

"Yo kid, not a problem, the important thing is that you are safe now"

We invited Fresh to stay for the night. The evening was consumed with jokes and video games, it was the funniest night I ever had. Fresh was a really nice guy. Towards the night, he told us that Error was his brother.

I felt guilty. We killed Error.

I took a low look and Fresh seemed to understand, but he comforted me rubbing my back.

"Hey, don't be sad, you know, I actually don't mind that much. My brother Error had started being rude and abusive to me since he found out I was keeping you safe in my AU. When you and Ink left to look for Dream and Blue, he came to my house and threatened to kill me if I didn't tell him where you were."

"I-i'm sorry..."

"No no it's okay. Actually, Error was afraid of me, I used his fear to get him to leave my house"

"W-why is he afraid of you? I mean, you're not  scary!"

Ink took my shoulder and spoke in amusement.

"Well...you can't know why, but it's funny isn't it? The great destroyer has a weakness!"

We all laughed.

Ink pov

She didn't know yet. She had looked at me oddly when I handed her to Fresh I asked him not to infect her. But this he would find out later. When all the dangers were resolved.

For the time being I was enjoying these happy moments with the one person who had ignited true happiness in me.

She was a little girl, full of positive energy and happiness, and with a very strong determination.
