"Jody, Donna, and the girls should be here soon." Sam says walking into the library where Dean is seated at the table on his laptop while sucking on one of the bacon flavoured candy canes.

Sam really wasn't expecting Dean to like those when he bought them as a gag gift for him. But at least they're not going to waste, Sam supposes.

Dean just hums in response, continuing to suck on the candy cane while scrolling through whatever he's looking at on his laptop.

"You're still not quite happy about all of this, are you, Dean?" Sam sighs, taking a seat at the table.

Dean shrugs, not looking up from the screen of his laptop. "I'm okay with the food, just not the decorations." He says. "But for Jack's sake, they can stay up."

He looks up as Jack makes his way into the library. "Hey, kid." He says, grabbing one of the candy canes out of the box and tossing it to Jack. "Here."

Jack only just manages to catch it before it drops to the floor, staring at it curiously. "What is it?"

"A candy cane. They're a Christmas themed confectionery. Usually peppermint flavour, but this one is bacon flavoured." Dean says.

Jack stares at it in confusion. "Bacon flavoured?" He asks, looking to Sam for answers.

Sam just shrugs, not having much of an answer. He doesn't get it just as much as Jack doesn't.

"It sounds... weird." Jack says, pocketing the candy cane. It sounds strange, but he'll give it a go later. "Do we have any chips?" He asks, looking between Sam and Dean.

"Uh, there should be a couple bags in the kitchen." Sam says.

Jack nods. "Can I have one? It's just I'm watching Buffy, and I want some snacks."

"Go ahead, kid." Dean says. "And while you're at it can you grab me a beer?"

He'd get up and grab a beer from the kitchen himself, but since Jack is already going there it doesn't hurt to ask the kid to grab him a beer from the fridge. Besides, usually Jack doesn't mind grabbing him one when he asks. Sometimes he just grabs him one without having been asked to. It's like he can just sense when he needs one.

"Sure." Jack says, before he's making his way into the kitchen.

Sam watches on after Jack, frowning a little. He doesn't really like the idea of Jack having a bag of chips to himself. He's caught on to Dean's mannerisms when it comes to food a little too much for his liking.

As a matter of fact, Sam is almost positive that Jack has a bit of a secret stash of junk food somewhere in his room. And he's positive that Dean had given him the idea of a secret stash. Or Jack's caught on to a few things from all the movies and TV shows he's watched, but it's more than likely that he's caught onto a few of Dean's less than desirable habits.

He supposes it's not anything that's too much of a big deal. But still....

"What's up, Sammy?" Dean asks, noticing the way Sam is watching on after Jack with a frown.

"Nothing." Sam says. "But I don't exactly like the idea of Jack eating a whole bag of chips by himself."

"Dude, I've seen the kid eat like six burgers plus a large portion of fries and a litre of Pepsi by himself in one sitting and he's never gained a pound." Dean says. "A bag of chips to himself won't kill him."

Well... Sam supposes that Dean's right. But still, he'd prefer if Jack would eat more healthy. It wouldn't hurt after all. And if it did, well Jack would really be able to heal himself.
