We reach my house myself and Ashley's arms still linked. I see my parents standing at the front door looking extremely cross.
" this feels like the walk of shame" I mutter under my breath . But before Ashley is able to reply my mum speaks up.
"Don't you dare mutter under your breath young lady get in here right now" my mum says gritting her teeth. I let go of Ashley's hand. She is about to walk down the road to her house.
when she is stopped in her track.
"Umm You too, young lady" my mum says rudely to Ashley.
She gives me the look and we both go into the living room to sit on the sofa both eyes on the ground.
"So who is this boy you have been hanging about with?" My dad asks, showing the photos from tonight at the concert. Mainly the ones of me and Justin.
"Rachel tell us how you met him??" My mum says, sounding calmer than she was 2 seconds ago. I guess she is annoyed because I lied where I have been.
Fine you want the truth I will give you the truth.
"Me and Ashley were coming out of the concert the other boy is the singer in the and ash soon to be boyfriend and I saw the boy I saw him on the streets so i went up to him" I say my mum and fathers mouths open wide In shock.
"Is this true Ashley??" my father asks her, she nods fear on her face.
"What the hell were you thinking Rachel?? He could be anybody. How could you go up to a random person after everything we have taught you?? He could have done horrible things to you" My mother says, getting all worked up and firing me all sorts of questions of how wrong this all was. I stay silent. Ashley gives me a sad smile as I begin to fiddle with my hands.
" anything else we should know??" my father asks rudely with the look of disappointment on his face.
" he does drugs but he wanted to get clean. So he was staying at the apartment that's where I have been but don't worry I was sleeping on the sofa. Ashley helped to get him clean and he is doing really well" I mutter rambling.
My mothers look of disgust sticks in my mind. I don't think I will get rid of that out of my mind in a while.
"You shall never see this boy again. He is trouble and he will break your heart. He is on drugs for CRYING OUT LOUD RACHEL ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND. AND ASHELY HOW COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN" my mother says beginning to shout.
"Mum you were the one that says everyone deserves a second chance, no matter what there circumstances are. You also said that everyone deserves somebody to love them. He wants to change. He wants to make a life for himself. I wish you won't judge him before you have even met him. I really care about him and I'm not going to stop seeing him, just because you tell me to. And go go blaming Ashley because she wasn't happy at the start but then she got to know him" I begin raising my voice.
But my mum and dad do nod in agreement because they did teach me these things and they know it.
"Calm down rach" Ash says putting her hand on my back. I take a deep breath trying to calm myself down.
" you seem to really care about this boy" my dad says and I nod.
" I do, very much" I say as I begin fiddling with my fingers because I'm extremely nervous right now.
"What do you think of him Ashley??" My mum asks sounding very interested. My mum and dad have always trusted Ashley, so I one hundred percent believe that they will be satisfied with what ever Ashley says.
"He is really nice. They are very cute together, he also really wants a better life and wants to do better for Rachel because he believes he doesn't deserve to be loved because of what has happened in his past. But I think he deserves a chance and he deserves someone like Rachel to love him and to make him do better" Ashley says. I give her a small smile, thanking her as i taking her hand in mine.
" mum and dad, can he please stay at the apartment?? I don't want him to end up on the streets again. Also can I stay there too?? Cause I want to make sure he stays safe" I plead they look at each other and they nod.
"Only on one condition" my mum says giving me a small smile.
"Anything" I say letting out a sigh of relief.
"Ashley moves in too, so that she has an eye on both of you and you'll sleep in a separate bedroom" my dad says, saying the same thing my mum was thinking.
"OH MY GOSH! DEAL" I jump up while shouting excitedly.
I bring them into a hug as does Ashley, a very tight hug may I add. Myself and Ashley start jumping up and down getting all excited.
"Roommate" I say putting my hand around Ashley's shoulder making her laugh.
"But please be careful, both of you. And we would like to meet this boy. What's his name??" my mum says with a smirk.
"Justin" I say with a smile.
I actually can't wait to tell him. This is going to be so fun living with my best friend and my boyfriend. I also have to say that conversation went a heck of a lot better than anticipated.
